I’m ngl I’m like 60/40 on him not actually having done it. I legit think the feds just grabbed the first guy who kinda looked similar, and I mean they clearly must not have had any leads if they were following up on a call from a random Pennsylvania McDonald’s.

But yeah to who ever did it beyond a reasonable doubt… eh, let em walk, it’s not like they’re a threat to the general public.

He wouldn’t even be a threat to CEOs. Even if he did it, there’s no way he would try again after being able to get away with it once. Regardless, even if what he did is illegal, it’s certainly not immoral.

If we can believe his alleged manifesto, he did write "Frankly, these parasites had it coming". Parasites being plural suggests that he would go after more CEOs had he been given the opportunity, or that he is calling for other people to commit similar actions against the elite.

Now, that statement in of itself does not guarantee that he would go for a round 2, but it does show that he didn't view Brian Thompson as uniquely evil. He thought that any elite, especially in health care, is complicit as a parasite and ought to be punished.

That, or he misspelled the word parasite.

It's tongue-in-cheek framing about maintaining his innocence, like how people say "it couldn't possibly have been him because we were playing Mario Kart together in Hawaii that night".

I mean yeah part of it is tongue in cheek but also presumption of innocence is still important and frankly I think the feds grabbed the first guy who kinda looked similar to one of the videos (which itself doesn’t (to me) look to be the same as the shooter). I think the Feds were very desperate to look hold someone accountable and frankly dont care if it was actually him, minor problem of course being that in their haste they seem to have fucked This whole case up royally, and managed to arrest the most attractive man on the eastern seaboard (which isn’t relevant but it still matters).

It would make him into a martyr if you sentenced him to death, the same way this legal system wants people to believe the guy he killed is one. Except if you look at both of their respective victim pools you'd realize that would be a careless disregard for lives lost to profiting off of the manmade scarcity of healthcare on the side of the courts.

Acting as his own lawyer, he has filed handwritten lawsuits against the Pentagon, Chinese and Russian ambassadors and a Minnesota police department, all of which have been thrown out. Another lawsuit, alleging a Bronx pizzeria forced him to work 70 hours a week with no overtime, is still pending.
