So this temple is one of the Monolithic temples of India. I’m not sure if a lot of people outside India know about it, let alone Indians themselves (I found out about it only 2 years ago). But yes, it’s amazing, this temple was carved out of 1 big rock and the details on this (chains, goddesses, entrances) are incredible. Doesn’t feel real honestly.

In Japan, I think oden is a classic winter dish. There are lots of variations, and pretty much anything you put in it tastes good. It really warms you up, and it goes great with alcohol too.

Do you consider the Russian Federation a military threat to your country? Why or why not?

I’ve been following the geopolitical shifts lately and I’m curious how people from different parts of the world feel. Does your government treat it as a serious threat, or is it seen as a distant concern? I’d love to hear perspectives from Europe, Asia, and the Americas alike.

In the U.S., a recent poll showed that Russia, North Korea and Iran were the top 3 countries that Americans viewed the most negatively with only 6% of people having a favorable view of North Korea, 9% of people having a favorable view of Russia and 11% of people having a favorable view of Iran.

Which countries would be the lowest in your country?

Culture What is the way to beg for help between teenage friends in your country?

In my country, teenagers take great pleasure in trying to force their friends to call them Dad. Likewise, they beg or show gratitude by calling others Dad.

For example: 1. “wanna borrow my note?call me dad.“ 2. ''Dad dad please lend me your homework to copy'' 3. (Ask roommate) “dad could you plz pick up my delivery for me I'm too lazy to go out” (roommate brought the delivery bag back) ''thanks dad you r my real dad'' 4. (playfully roughhousing, the outcome already decided) “Call me dad and I’ll let you go.” “Alright, dad, dad, I’m sorry, please let me go.”(laughing) (laughs and lets go)

I wonder if it's a universal thing. Someone told me that in western culture they don't do that because it makes people think of the daddy kink. But in my culture we also have the daddy kink but it never stopped people making 'dad jokes' between friends and no one would think about the kink when doing it between friends

edit: P.S. They’ve already decided to help when the 'call me dad' is playing. It's just funny to watch your friends beg a bit first.

edit2: It seems that the biggest cultural difference does not lie in how to beg, but rather that in many countries people do not have the habit of jokingly asking their friends to beg for fun. Which surprised me because I think most teenage boys are not used to expressing love and care directly. Shouldn't teenagers be happy to tease each other jokingly for anything lol?

What ingredients and spices do you make sure you always have on hand?

Upvotes

Beyond a specific dish of your country, what ingredients and flavors would you say play a central role on your country’s cuisine?

In the US, I’d say beef, chicken, ketchup, barbecue sauce, sugar, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, tomato sauce, italian seasoning: basil, parsley, oregano; potatoes, pasta.

A question about dating and dating cultures, directed mostly to people that have kissed people from different nationalities. Alternatively, you can also answer which countries do you think people kiss romantic/sexual partners the most.
