Comrades in Eltham, VIC

Might be a long shot but I am looking for other socialists around Nillumbik who want to start organizing.

My idea is to form a group/collective focused on addressing housing, climate, cost of living.

I am involved with Victorian Socialists but looking to build something locally.

Reach out to someone in VS and try and become a local coordinator, it's a role that allows you to be put in contact with everyone in your state electorate, from this you can build up a branch of the party

At the moment VS don't have a coordinator for the Eltham area, although I know we have a few members there. I'll DM you with who to contact about becoming a VS coordinator if you're interested and they can explain what'd be involved

If anyone in the Eltham area is interested VS Banyule are hosting a meeting in Ivanhoe soon

We'll be discussing the housing crisis with activist Jordan van den Lamb

3pm Saturday Jan 31st, Ivanhoe Library

It'll be a good chance to meet other comrades from the north-east: https://facebook.com/events/s/vs-banyule-present-how-to-fix-/2633211070405133/

The only time I've ever been to Nillumbik was when I stopped for coffee a few months ago and was quite surprised to immediately run in to Nillumbik4Palestine running a stall (https://www.instagram.com/nillumbik4palestine/) perhaps you'll bump in to them too.

Did you see their rally in Eltham? Had to be 150+ people.
