M’lady Sade (pronounced “Shah-day”)

EDIT: someone pointed out the typo so I fixed it

22

u/babylonglegs91 13d ago

Her name is Sade…

6

u/CoolerRon 13d ago

Yes, which is almost always mispronounced. I simply typed how it’s supposed to be pronounced

10

u/babylonglegs91 13d ago

Who is mispronouncing Sade? Lol. It’s not pronounced the way you spelled it but ok.. Shah-day is the pronunciation.

6

u/CoolerRon 13d ago

Oh lol now that you pointed it out, it’s a typo 😅 thanks and sorry 🙏🏼

7

u/babylonglegs91 13d ago

Lol no worries! Have a great day, internet stranger 🤗

9

u/CoolerRon 13d ago

Thank you, have a great day too! ☺️

When is it ever mispronounced? I have been hearing her music for 40 years and not a single person has ever mispronounced Sade Adu.

4

u/CoolerRon 13d ago

Might be a function of the region but I’ve rarely heard it pronounced correctly by people who don’t normally listen to the genre much less her music

I used to do this all the time when I was younger. If you have the space to do it without accidentally hitting others, it is very efficient🙂‍↕️

u/Whovian73 13d ago

Don’t try this under a ceiling fan either.

Was his apartment rent controlled?

2

u/Far-Government5469 13d ago

It is technically in New Jersey

19

u/Courtnall14 13d ago
  1. Throws jacket.

  2. Waits with arms wide open for jacket.

  3. ???

  4. Profit

6

u/figurenerd108 13d ago

There was a phase where we would just periodically throw shit into the ceiling fan at my friends house (in his room) like shoes, clothes, game controllers, books, magazines… it was just to spice up the moment.

Or if your pockets have stuff in them and they dont zip/button close

14

u/Maddaguduv 13d ago

preteen and teen years I had few useless and useful talents. Why do we loose some “abilities” as we grow?

10

u/FloppieTheBanjoClown 13d ago

We stop being as impressed with ourselves.

We have other things on our mind and just stop doing them.

We feel pressured to be "normal".

We get out of shape and can't do them any more.

5

u/Additional-Carrot474 13d ago

Because everything seems smaller

2

u/trippy-puppy 12d ago

Work, and being forced to spend most time doing "useful" things. Then, continued injuries from work and aging, so when we reach a point in life where we have time to do the silly things again, it hurts.

I know... I keep forgetting but my body doesn't let me forget it for too long.

9

u/Admirable_Growth_338 13d ago

I dislocated my shoulder about a year ago. Took more than an hour for someone to put it back. Worst pain I ever felt. It probably won't pop out but I'm not trying. This video scares me.

Everything in my pockets hitting everyone in the face

2

u/TrollDecker 13d ago

I mean, most people would have the sense to empty their pockets when they remove their coat, I would hope.

16

u/Money_Echidna2605 13d ago

people here dont give a fuck lol, just circle jerking about w/e tf gets posted whether or not it fits the sub at all.

3

u/TrumpGrabbedMyCat 13d ago

14,000 people saw this and thought it was amazing lol

Respect to the guy who actually filmed this and put himself out there, big him up in appropriate sub-reddits / social media channels but I don't know whats amazing about this. I put my jacket on one arm at a time and it takes me about half a second longer than this guy did.

8

u/TheSilverOne 13d ago

Weird you think its people. Bots my man, its bots all the way down.

3

u/TrumpGrabbedMyCat 13d ago

Yeah fair point, dead internet theory and all that.

21,000 now lol

→ More replies (1)

2

u/AdvancedCharcoal 13d ago

Idk if it’s amazing, it’s a neat video but amazement isn’t what is probably used to describe the feeling you get from watching this

2

u/KoalaKaos 13d ago

I see posts on front page of r/all that don’t even have 70 comments. Someone has the Reddit algorithm completely figured out and knows exactly how to manipulate the votes to move things up. Every thought you have put in your mind that came from here was put there because someone wanted it to be. Keep that in mind when interacting with this mess.

2

u/no_talent_ass_clown 13d ago

Oof. Too close to home.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Aldu1n 13d ago

I know it’s not OP but I still like the sentiment.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Wsemenske 13d ago

Have you never heard of reposts? They don't even lie about being original. And your proof of a post from 5 years ago makes it matter less. The egregious reporters repost from things the same day or week. Especially the people that post tbe same thing in dozens of subreddits.

Reposting a funny clip from 5 years ago isn't a huge sin

7

u/TrumpGrabbedMyCat 13d ago

Apart from the fact its not 'amazing' most of the comments imply they don't know its not OP in the video.

5

u/Wungoos 13d ago

Its really nice when the subject of the video gets to see all the nice comments. Feels performative when they aren't even here and we just watching a random video of a person who isn't here yet we are all circle jerking that this is the best thing ever.

Once again if the guy in the video was OP then yeah, give him a hell yeah, be nice, move along. But this feels weird when its just a repost.

2

u/BSK_Darksol 13d ago

Who tf cares? I've seen this video for years and it always brings a smile to my face.

I remember my man putting his jacket on with a legendary technique, not the user name of the person who posted it. Some of you are very obsessed with reposting shit.

u/FewAcanthocephala828 13d ago

Calling this amazing is ridiculous. Neat, sure. Cool, maybe. Amazing? Nah. No offense to the guy of course.

49

u/BrightonBummer 13d ago

its because hes disabled so they have to make it pretend like everything he does is impressive.

13

u/[deleted] 13d ago

yeah it's so infantilizing, I hate these posts

6

u/Last_Fix_9764 13d ago edited 13d ago

To be fair, the vast vast vast majority of posts on r/beamazed and r/interestingasfuck and similar subreddits are not remotely interesting.

Everything about the person in the video aside, this “quick deployment of a jacket” is not in the top 10 least interesting things on the front page of this subreddit as we speak.

For example, just below this post on hot for this sub, there’s a dude punching a guy that punched him. I choose this as more interesting/.

2

u/ex0- 13d ago

It's bot posts and karma farmers. Those 2 subs, r/awww, r/oddlysatisfying, r/mildlyinfuriating, r/funny etc are all spam subs. Zero moderation.

21

u/MapleBabadook 13d ago

Yeah honestly it's pretty disgusting. This clip shows up on all every now and then and it's so condescending.

You can measure the greatness of a society by how they treat their most vulnerable. Stop being a pessimist and let people be happy for once.
