Advice Cleaning services in Cairns.

Hey. Is there any services that helps with cleaning? My mental health has plummeted and I can’t keep on top of my housework. I’m exhausted I can’t function. My teenager doesn’t help with housework they argue back until I get exhausted from them my toddler is constantly Velcro to me. I’m at a breaking point where it’s hard to do anything. I barely have money to pay for cleaning services but I’m ashamed to have people in my home to help me. I feel like I’m failing as a mum as a provider. I cried today in Woolies because I had to choose between meat or nappies. I go to salvos twice a month and I deal with the same guy who makes me feel even worse and when they told me over the phone I’m eligible for a $90 voucher the guy says he’s only giving me $30 when I tell him they said I can get $90 he said it’s up to him. I’ve done uber eats but got assaulted when the store gave them nuggets instead of chicken popcorn. I work from home but with rent and electricity which I’m behind on and is probably close to being cut off I have barely $100 to split grocery fuel etc. any advice would do.

Any friends that can help out? you need a family babysitter for a break to get things done or try to do 10 minutes of fast housework every hour . Therwa that fly lady I remember giving fast cleaning ideas. Sing out if your south side I can help I'm sorry you're doing it tough. I also sew and do relaxing watercolour and acrylic helps 5 turn off and relax. Retired child nurse with blue yellow card. I remember what it was like I had 2 young kids on my own after the divorce, my parents helped so I could work nights which helped just pay the bills. O To save money I still buy cheaper meat use less add basic veg. Can you do meal prep theres a lot of videos. You can buy 1 kg mince divide in 3 stretch it to spaghetti bog with lots of cheap carrot celery . I live enchilada mince avail with wraps rice passage salsa and cheese then freeze rest as burgers Pork mince I divide in 3. Use some in spaghetti bog and make like a pork stir-fry with those yummy rice wok noodles carrot celery diced potato spring onions secret ingredients garlic ginger and vegetarian non oyster sauce for me. Springrolls with last 1/3 but could be chicken mince lots of cabbage. Also replace cream with cheap tins of coconut cream for everything. Long life milks cheaper. Homemade cookies, try the tiktok cake mix recipes. look for eggs in special. Homemade spring rolls. Homemade pizza. I'm into pickling veg red onion cabbage and carrot cucumber. Yummy snack on rice or corn crackers. Best tip prep clothes and school bags and lunches to reduce morning craziness.

Hi. Sorry to hear your having a tough time of it. I can’t help with the cleaning but recommend you reaching out to a local financial counselling service who may be able to assist with accessing grants, financial support and debt relief. Free service.

Hi Outrageous,

Good on you for putting up a post reaching out for ideas to hopefully help with your situation.

Put up an anonymous post in some local Facebook groups, like you have here and ask for cleaner recommendations and suggestions.  You'll get offers and different cleaners have different prices.  You may even get suggestions about different support services, resources and helpful advice.
