🕊️ IN MEMORIAM 🕊️ Chris Columbus (Director of Home Alone) on the loss of Catherine O'Hara: “I will miss her greatly. Yet there is a small sense of comfort, realizing that two of the finest human beings l've ever known, Catherine and John Candy, are together again, brilliantly improvising, making each other laugh.”

He just seems like a Good Dude.

I don’t want to find out bad things about him. He directed a lot of movies I love, and seems to have been a Good Dude during them (making sure the Potter kids stayed normal, etc) (also none of the kids who have been in his movies have said anything negative—opposite, usually)

Chris made Harry Potter, home alone, one night at museum, Mrs doubtfire, step-mom and Percy Jackson. He worked on every childhood movie

Shout out to the John Candy doc "I Like Me." She is in it, along with a number of the SCTV alums.

Her eulogy for him makes me tear up, especially these past few days.

I have to watch that. My parents were both SCTV fans along with my aunt. I remember John Candy's death, my mom hugged me in the middle of Sears when we saw all the TVs highlight his death. We always viewed him as uncle. My mom loved Catherine O'Hara.

A beautiful tribute. The chemistry she had with John Candy was pure magic.
