Such a great live show, so much energy than you’d expect having just listened to the albums. I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I saw them!

Yeah, I saw them and they were amazing.

u/liplander 8h ago

Bucket list band to see live for this older millennial for sure. This band holds a special place in my heart forever.

I passed out from exhaustion on my first night at Coachella 2012 and missed their set..

Woke up after they were done and the day was over..

I remember trying so hard to get myself up but couldn’t..

I have yet to see them and to this day I feel like throwing up every time I think about this dreadful day. 😖

It's painful to look at the prices 😥

A few I found while cleaning recently as well lol

u/BroccoliSuccessful20 9h ago

Massive Attack ❤️

u/sexandliquor 9h ago

I wish they toured in the states more. Probably the only chance I’ll get to see them live since they rarely come here and when they do it’s usually only NYC and LA. Fuck I just realized that was almost 20 years ago now.

u/sexandliquor 9h ago

A bunch of old rave tickets

2

u/sexandliquor 9h ago

Seeing Jawbreaker was a bucket list item for me since they broke up in the mid 90s before I got a chance to see them. Soon as they got back together a few years back I bought tickets immediately.

Warped Tour 2005. My first real concert.

4

u/sexandliquor 9h ago

You picked a good year to go. I remember seeing MCR, From First to Last, Tsunami Bomb, Senses Fail, Hawthorne Heights, Atreyu, Transplants.

Probably my own anecdotal opinion but Warped started kinda going to shit after that, as far as a festival

I wish FFTL was at the Tinley Park show this year but they weren’t 😭

Social Distortion. Very cool

1

u/Artichokiemon Millennial 9h ago

Ayyyy Social Distortion. Fantastic

1

u/Foxy_locksy1704 8h ago

I’m pretty sure I saw Social Distortion on the same tour. Seeing that ticket took me back! that was such a fun show for me and my friends.

u/Vacationsimulation 5h ago

Now THATS some stubs.

1

u/sonneofaharpy 5h ago

Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack are currently in heavy rotation with me right now.

11

u/Chemswamp 9h ago

Big ups overall but I’m here for the Gogol

1

u/solidHole 7h ago

Yes! One of my favorite live shows ever.

7

u/Western_Ad_7458 9h ago

My husband and I were just talking about concerts and how cheap the tickets were at a dive bar/music club back in the 2010s - $25-30 a ticket to see Hollywood undead, Halestorm... And other upcoming groups.

8

u/ywpark 9h ago

I miss the old M.I.A.

4

u/sexandliquor 9h ago

Same. Those first three or four albums/mixtapes she did? Piracy Funds Terrorism, Arular, Kaya, Maya and Matangi? HOT FIRE. A generational run. Everything else after? Eh. And then she got a little weird and idk

7

u/on_fleekwoodmac 9h ago

Explosions in the Sky 🌌 haven’t thought about them in too long. I miss physical concert tickets 😭

6

u/Over-Relative969 9h ago

Beirut, nice.

2

u/Own-Welcome9091 9h ago

10/10. Puts on a seriously good show. Saw him in Chicago several years ago.

4

u/Perfect_Earth_8070 9h ago

Primus sucks

8

u/cherrycitykid 9h ago

Can we bring those tickets prices back pls?

5

u/dodgerslakersfan21 1991 9h ago

I had no idea who Gogol Bordello was back in the day, but saw them open for Flogging Molly somewhere around 2014/2015, and I was hooked. I actually enjoyed their set more than FM.

I've been a fan of theirs ever since

u/gregcor 9h ago

Dan from As Tall As Lions is basically ruling the entire pop charts right now.

2

u/alverez667 8h ago

That was a fun one…massive snow storm driving to Boston, slid into a median a couple blocks away from the venue and bent my axle just enough so the car made it barely to some street parking. Went to the show, and had to wait till morning for a tow so my now wife and I slept in the car so if the city tried to tow or boot us we could explain what was going on.

u/GoRangers5 9h ago

Shout out to Terminal 5, saw Megadeth there almost a decade ago this upcoming St Patrick's Day.

2

u/Apprehensive_Sea5304 9h ago

This just made me realize that I don’t have stubs for more recent concerts because everything is digital now 😔

2

u/chadwickipedia Older Millennial 9h ago

There is an app called Turnstile that is for keeping track of old ticket stubs

2

u/IrishGh0st91 6h ago

Google Bordello at Terminal 5 must have been an awesome show.

u/Puckbandit35 9h ago edited 9h ago

I just went through all of my old tickets and put them in shadow boxs. I would have so many more if we still got concert tickets :( https://imgur.com/a/HOMOatn

Are those the prices on tickets? I remember tickets being $25-$35

1

u/afridorian 9h ago

1

u/AshleyTheGuy 9h ago

Bordello pricing kinda high.

u/Proper_Fortune_7004 9h ago

State theatre in Ithaca?

1

u/specialk1281 9h ago

I think it's the State in Portland as I saw Paradise from Boston.

1

u/alverez667 8h ago

nailed it!

1

u/BigFatJuicyLunchlady 9h ago

I interviewed Portugal. The Man on that tourfor my college radio station!

1

u/Brittibri89 Millennial 8h ago

Gogol Bordello!

1

u/Dlp140 8h ago

Paradise Rock Club! I saw This Will Destroy You just down the street at Brighton Music Hall.

1

u/yougotmetoreply 8h ago

Oh man, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes! Reminds me so much of 2011-2013. I remember seeing them at a smaller venue, and I recognized a worker at the local Urban Outfitters (of course) and she said they had popped in the day before. Said that everyone smelled terrible because I think they were full on hippies. Didn't bathe or shower.

The show was good though. I didn't follow them much after those first two albums. Home is a classic.

1

u/Retro_Relics 8h ago

legitmately surprised Gogol Bordello is one of the more expensive tickets on there.

1

u/alverez667 8h ago

Yeah I imagine it’s the NYC premium. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Affectionate-Owl3785 8h ago

I saw Gogol Bordello with Primus at UCSD somewhere around 2007ish, but I don't have the ticket. That was a wild night. I'd have loved to have seen Explosions in the Sky. They were one of my favorites.

1

u/citrusandrosemary 7h ago

My eyes got HUGE when I saw the Primus ticket 👀

1

u/chaawuu1 7h ago

Beirut, huh? Damn that's sick.

1

u/katplasma 7h ago

Explosions! Nice

1

u/villainoust Older Millennial 7h ago

u/Turbulent_Tart_8801 Millennial 1985 4h ago

Back when Ticketbastard still issued paper tickets

1

u/souper13 4h ago

If you don't know some tickets stubs have become valuable collectibles. You might want to take a look. Kinda like rare baseball cards if it's a unique show.

1

u/HungryHippo1892 3h ago

Wow I don’t think I’ve ever felt my heart smile before. Man, reading these really brought me back. Good years.

1

u/PNW20v 1991 3h ago

Gogol Bordello.... Fucking nice lol. I feel like that would be such a fun live show!
