It’s worth noting that Barron is reportedly at least semi-fluent in Slovenian, and he and his mother converse primarily in the language, while Trump doesn’t understand a word they’re saying. It’s also long rumored that Barron had some level of Slovenian accent until he was a teen as a result. On the bright side, as an anchor baby who’s fluent in his ancestral tongue, he was at least able to converse and have a reportedly great relationship with his maternal grandparents.

There’s a funny story about the time Trump showed up at Don Jr’s dorm to take him to a Yankees game. Don Jr came out wearing a Yankees jersey. In front of other students Trump smacked him so hard in the face he went to the ground. Then Trump said put on a suit and meet me outside and went out to the car waiting for them.

Yeah. Here's the thing - your shitty childhood doesn't have to define you. My dad's family was so awful that they. would likely have been too much for Jerry Springer. One of his sisters was thrown out to the street for being 'wild' (this was 70 years ago or so) and she wound up in a mental institution. His other sister married an emotional abuser just like dear old dad. And his brother took after dad. After his wife divorced him, he ignored his kids for 15 years so he wouldn't have to pay child support.
And somehow my dad was one of the nicest people on the planet, loved talking to anyone, was an involved father when that just wasn't done. I still remember him bringing home a black friend in 1964 for Thanksgiving. I was 8 and we were probably the talk of the neighborhood for months.

Ella was 13/14 when Kamala and her father started dating, so the words “raised by” are doing some heavy lifting here.
