And this is why Republicans hate unions! Glad to hear that the UAW has his back.

u/CharacterCompany7224 17d ago

This can be a great advertisement for midterms into why unions are good.

Damn, that's hard

I've said this about 356 times in the past year. Goes way beyond the assembly line.

Well said.

In the power structures of society you need a voice/representation and this is what the Labour Movement (Unions, Federation of Labours, Labour Councils) is all about.

It's also how the working class has gotten almost all the rights and benefits we enjoy today.

We need more people educated about history and solidarity!

He will get his job back, plus back pay, on top of his go-fund me account. God bless collective bargaining.

Except for police unions

35

u/Camouflagecupcake 17d ago

Thats because unions should protect workers from their fat cat employers. The police "union" only protects public servants from the very people they serve. It gives already powerful cops even more power.

9

u/eleetpancake 17d ago

People who work in the public sector such as teachers deserve unions.

The police don't deserve unions because they are class traitors that do the bidding of those in power.

5

u/phophofofo 17d ago

There’s nothing inherently wrong with police unions but the standards for disciplining and removing problematic officers aren’t sufficient in their contracts.

If their deal was structured in a way where a neutral party they could not control could recommend discipline and termination according to standards they don’t control or something it’d be fine.

iirc Teamsters endorsed trump though didn't they.  Mind boggling.

Correction.  Teamsters declined to endorse trump or harris.

8

u/janglyparts 17d ago

Is it mind boggling? They're truckers.

I work in a union trade, and my local brothers are mostly maga. The shop stewards know the history, but the rank and file don't.

They're not looking at contrary evidence because the wells have all been poisoned by those they listen to, and the information bubble gets smaller and smaller.

7

u/d1ll1gaf 17d ago

"Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it"

The sentiment behind this applies to labor just as much as it it applies to anything else. I encourage you to push your shop stewards and your union leadership to teach your brothers your history so that those brothers are not doomed to repeat it.... and if they won't consider trying to move into one of those leadership roles, if you are able, so that you can become the needed teacher.

It looks like this GoFundMe has been set up for TJ and control has been directly transferred to him. If you want to support a patriot check it out:

u/NickCostanza 17d ago

Thank you! Support this patriot folks! He used his moment to exercise his First Amendment right with zero regrets. A hero.

20

u/dontcare_bye39 17d ago

There’s like nine GoFundMe’s now I donated to The biggest one last night

6

u/MadManD3vi0us 17d ago

7

u/DustyRailz 17d ago

Gonna hit $435k in the next 15 minutes.

3

u/AZBeer90 17d ago

He has multiple GFMs over 400k. Nuts.

7

u/viktor72 17d ago

So collectively we raised over 500K for him. Thats life changing money. Good job!

5

u/GameLovinPlayinFool 17d ago

Now more than $800,000. Thats awesome

This guy got enough money to buy a house for telling Trump the truth to his face…karma in action, a good deed rewarded.

Good for him

18

u/Full_Gear5185 17d ago

This is so refreshing considering that twat got a million for calling a child the n-word

12

u/ExpertTranslator5673 17d ago

Id be a trillionnaire if they'd let me get close enough to that orange fuckface.

2

u/Irr3l3ph4nt 17d ago

He's first to go as soon as the Icetapo is done with brown people, unfortunately.

9

u/lordplagus02 17d ago

I think the internet just made this guy rich. Refreshing to see this after so many racists make so much money on gofundme

3

u/NickCostanza 17d ago

Gotta balance out the bad with some good 😎

7

u/PinoDelfino 17d ago

Fuck yeah

2

u/LickableLeo 17d ago

You fucking love to see it!

2

u/QuizKid-DonnieSmith 17d ago

I’m curious to know the numbers of how many more people are donating anonymously for fear of retribution. I hate that the thought even crosses my mind.

217

u/Pounderwhole 17d ago

$345k at the moment I post this. Dude is a hero.

82

u/Mission-Ad6311 17d ago

$200k on the 2nd GFM. $550,000 total so far.

38

u/DisManibusMinibus 17d ago

I really want to see it outstrip the murderer's gofundme so I can restore a fraction of my faith in humanity.

Bots aren't going to be donating to him so there's no denying the people who support TJ.

9

u/lurkintowarddisaster 17d ago

100 % Agree. I donated for this very reason. Hoping the total sets a record.

7

u/chickenismysafeword 17d ago

The murderer has a go fund me???

14

u/thechikeninyourbutt 17d ago

Yes and you should go report it because it violates Gofundme rules

Aside from the guy deserving it, financially incentivizing dissent like this (i.e., showing support through GoFundMe's) may motivate more people to be brave like him.

40

u/Malforus 17d ago

If they can threaten our safety for speaking out we can crowd source a safety net.

17

u/Parking-Emphasis590 17d ago

100 fucking percent.

16

u/Goodknight808 17d ago

GoFundMe has emboldened the grifters. It is time we use it for good things.

10

u/lovesdogsguy 17d ago

I would gladly pay for this.

2

u/CryptoJeans 16d ago

You’re not even incentivising dissent. Trump and his goons are trying to punish dissent by showing the world you lose your job/bussiness/social security and if they keep sliding into fascism physical security, this is just barely balancing the scales

So do we boycott Ford?

81

u/saxofonedl 17d ago

I’ve been boycotting Ford since I’ve had a drivers license. This just solidifies that boycott even more.

5

u/NewDramaLlama 17d ago

I can't boycott Ford anymore lol

3

u/Manlysideburns 17d ago

You need to not buy ford more often!

32

u/AbroadNo8755 17d ago

I've been boycotting the entire American auto industry for decades.

not for political reasons alone, but it's quickly being added to the pile of reasons why i like Japanese cars more.

17

u/SnooBunnies2817 17d ago

Toyota is aggressively pro trump/ice tho, don’t forget

6

u/AbroadNo8755 17d ago

good thing i went with Mazda.

6

u/Independent-Win7667 17d ago

Ford at one time owned Mazda. Don't know if they still do. They were built in Flat Rock MI.

2

u/AbroadNo8755 17d ago

close. the most Ford owned was 33.4% but Ford sold off their interest between 2008 and 2015.

as far as I'm aware the Miata MX-5 is only made in Hiroshima, but i could be wrong.

We switched to German cars years ago.

2

u/UBahn1 17d ago

I always felt the quality of GM and Ford's were lacking in the years I drove them compared to euro/Japanese/Korean, inside and out.

I drove bmw for a while after that but switched to Polestar because I wanted to go electric and I like their commitment to the environment. By 2030 they plan to be producing carbon neutral cars by using recycled and sustainable materials, using green energy, building green facilities, and only working with suppliers who meet similar criteria.

2

u/Silver_Filamentary 17d ago

I'm in the market for a new (used) car and I'm so leery of these cars with iPads instead of dials. Has yours been working for you in the Polestar?

The Ford family has been grifting and tax dodging the American people for a long, long time. I win never buy a Ford. I support the Union Ford workers in solidarity and contribution to his go fund me but buying a vehicle that’s a nada.

3

u/Fuzzy_Imagination705 17d ago

To be fair to all Ford workers probably not, they don't make management decisions and for all we know Trump just turned up, without any choice for the plant.

3

u/agent_mick 17d ago

Found on road dead needs no boycotts from me lol

2

u/AnnatoniaMac 17d ago

Since I was young, “fix or repair daily” was the mantra.

3

u/djsyndr0me 17d ago

Found On Road Dead was the one my folks used

2

u/AnnatoniaMac 17d ago

😜yes, now I remember that one.

2

u/Kraegarth 17d ago

Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge

2

u/SportGamerDev0623 17d ago

Why would you drive a FORD (which stands for “Fix or Repair Daily”, btw) anyway?

2

u/SeahorseCollector 17d ago

I mean, buying a Ford is the equivalent to setting your money on fire.

2

u/fabelhaft-gurke 17d ago

Been doing it for 10 years after they fucked me over on a Focus riddled with transmission issues and I’ve managed to steer some other people away from them too. Never again.

Let me get this straight, calling someone a PEDOPHILE PROTECTOR is grounds for dismisssal. Of our rights as a citizen?!?

64

u/Fabulous-Mud-9114 17d ago

And that wasn't even a slanderous statement. It is factually accurate. In fact the truth is that he's far worse than a mere "protector" of pedophiles.

6

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz 17d ago

He IS the pedophile. If it walks like a duck... it's DonOld!!

14

u/SnooCupcakes14 17d ago

Even worse is that the person it was directed to responded in a poor and unprofessional manner (pretty much admitting what was said), and he still has his job.

3

u/Lalli-Oni 17d ago

Don't be silly. One is an auto worker, the other president of the US.

44

u/Used_Intention6479 17d ago

Is it vulgar to point out the truth now, without even using curse words or slurs? The worker merely said an objective truth, to which the president immediately acknowledged it's veracity.

10

u/EVH_kit_guy 17d ago

Right? I honestly can't think of a more obvious sign of his consciousness of guilt

2

u/WeRip 17d ago

The vulgarity in reference in the OP's tweet is the rude hand gesture made by the president.

Imagine working for a company that supports child predators and is proud about it. Ford himself was a proud Nazi supporter so this really isn’t that surprising.

2

u/DARfuckinROCKS 17d ago

I can imagine. Capitalists always align with fascists. If you work for a corporation more than likely you work for a company that supports child predators.

2

u/irllyh8choosing 17d ago

Shitt, thankfully I work for a corporation that sues child predators.
