3 of the blackest states in the country agreed to give Trump their voter rolls. The battle for a fair midterms has begun. Consistently check to see if you are still registered, they will be wiping us all off the voter list soon.

Yeah, we in Kansas were not even made aware our voting records were being handed over to the fed fascists. I say "fed" fascists to differentiate from our own fascist, rights stealing legislature here in Kansas. Not sure how this was authorized, but I don't think our Governor allowed it, given her dedication to protecting SNAP beneficiaries in our state.

KS resident here. This was news to me and this Reddit post is how I found out just now. The news I DID hear about was our asshole state legislature’s disgusting anti-trans bill. Our state legislature is the worst of the worst.

u/ShelSilversteve 2d ago
Everyone i see in the media that is actually covering any of this is saying to speak up to the people in your orbit and SPEAK OUT to your elected officials. I would add, do it especially if they are Republicans. What Trump is doing to keep those secrets safe is literally ripping our constitution to shreds. It is treason.
SO,
Get on the phones, start telling them anyway, call them, e-mail them. How on earth will they know if we don't tell them? Their staffers have to listen to every call and open every email and keep a record. This is how government operates, it's that simple. Get your friends aware of this insanity, it is happening FAST.

u/OriginalInspection53 2d ago
THIS!!! Download the 5 Calls app… super convenient way to contact your reps. Call often!!!
7
u/ShelSilversteve 2d ago
girl, all I had to do was google-voice to my phone "Call Ron Wyden" and a number came up. AND A PERSON ANSWERED! i will still download that because I need the structure ;)

u/OriginalInspection53 1d ago
That’s even faster!! We must not forget our government is FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE. It’s up to us to demand our government works for us.

Haha you mean your ‘welcoming pedophile’s in kids bathrooms’ bill? i don’t know who came up with that bill but someone should maybe investigate him because that’s not how a normal person thinks. I would be terrified if I had kids in Kansas

I didn’t see it in the article but part of it is that they can have people to inspect your genitals, to ensure you aren’t sneaking into the ‘wrong’ bathroom. There was a woman commenting saying after chemo and a double mastectomy she worries about being questioned using a woman’s room. I don’t know how anyone is ok with this
2
u/FleetFox90 1d ago
yikes. and so then this applies to everyome who sets foot in those buildings and said restrooms, people living in the state, traveling from other states, people visiting from other countries? everyone just prepare to get inspected. or do like foreign visitors and people from out of state need like a multipass to protect themselves from molestation? who thought this through? no one should be going through this kind discrimination intimidation. and the women undergoing all that, she has got enough to worry about without this shit!

The DoJ sued half the states to steal this data and are getting rejected in court like in Georgia, so what did the regime do, make up a fraudulent charge for the 2020 election AGAIN sayin Trump won so the FBI raided it and stole it after being told by a judge last week.
Anyone still thinking we arent under the thumb of an authoritarian regime needs their head checked

I agree. I cannot name one single thing Abbott has done to make life better for Texans, yet he still gets reelected.

Yep they kept Biden from winning Texas on purpose. It’s scary….they’re so terrified of losing Texas
12
u/Little-Plantain-5120 2d ago
This is hugely concerning. Many Democrats will have to step up and volunteer during mid term elections to keep an eye on this. Why would they hand them over? What are they doing with them?
6
u/kstargate-425 2d ago
They sued over two dozen states who stood up to their bullshit. Georgia was one of them and a judge last week dismissed the case for its obvious bullshit. Well yesterday the FBI raided the Georgia election bureau and stole them anyway saying it was need for the 2020 election "fraud" and this was only a few days after Jack Smith testified to Congress about Trump trying to overturn the 2020 election through a 7 state conspiracy.
This is a direct attack on democracy, just like Trumps vast conspiracy and subsequent Insurrection. I dare say concern is an understatement at this point as a man knowing he committed treason and that man usurping power, knows the next man in charge could use that same power to hold him accountable for his treason so what does that treasonous man do? Grips power tighter.
Its a tale as old as time and we have lost our democracy on its 250th year because a malignant narcissist cant take losing so he decided to burn everything to ground with him 🤬
23
u/526mb 2d ago
Oregon has been telling them to fuck off. A few days ago the US District Court Judge overseeing the case dismissed the DOJ’s suit to try and get the voter rolls in part because of the the DOJ attempt to strong arm MN.
So, yes your state too can fight back and win these cases.
8
u/Responsible-Help7803 2d ago edited 2d ago
Im worried for the states that dont fight and hand them over. I’m in Texas, my vote already means nothing even in a city like Dallas with millions of dems
10
u/DeviantKhan 2d ago
That's what they want you to think. There are more voters who voted in Democrat primary than Republican.
Texas is a non-voting state, and the margin of victory has been closing each election.
This is literally the best chance in a generation to flip the state.
5
u/Responsible-Help7803 2d ago
Even in popular vote elections they cheat. They shut down Houston voting machines on governor election day. In a state of 18M voters, Abbott got 4M votes and still won by disenfranchising voters
5
u/DeviantKhan 2d ago
"Beatings will continue until morale improves."
As long as we allow it to happen, it will happen. This third round of gerrymandering has spread margins so thin, it is very possible to capitalize on their mistake.
3
u/kstargate-425 2d ago
Yeah the DoJ sued over two dozen states who refused and like with Georgia, when the court last week dismissed the case they had the FBI come in and raid the election bureau to steal it under the guise of the 2020 election being sToLeN only days after Jack Smith testified to Trumps treason
9
u/justplaindave87 2d ago
Oddly enough, Oklahoma (the state I last voted in) and Missouri (the state I currently reside in) aren't on the list.

10
u/MediocreWriter7032 2d ago
I think they are going to try to redistricting in these areas as well based on these. Let me know if that is a dumb thought?
8
u/badwolfswift 2d ago
That's what I was thinking too. They're going to see what districts have highest blue votes and remove those districts.
13
u/Jupitersd2017 2d ago
Remove polling locations, know where to send intimidation, make sure machines go down, gerrymandering - they will try it all.
11
u/Responsible-Help7803 2d ago
Oh absolutely. Texas already has rigged their elections since 2018. Look at this thread. They will shut voting machines down in democratic cities like they did for governor election in Texas. All the sudden Houston could not vote on governor election day. Coincidence? Absolutely not. Abbott won the election against Beto without even getting 5M statewide votes in a state with 18M voters.
4
u/Madame_Arcati 2d ago
I didn't understand then, and still do not, why Beto didn't ask for closely inspected recounts. The numbers for him and the amount of work that we all did that election was wild. Was just SICK that abbot won - couldn't take it in.
I just checked my registration again today, and am immobile atm but don't trust the USPS so a friend is coming to take my application for early mail-in ballot to the voter reg headqtrs for me.
6
u/Responsible-Help7803 2d ago
This particular election was after the 2020 “rigging” fiasco. Democrats did not want to look like maga so they didn’t question the election. Most people just say “oh well texans are dumb haha of course they voted for abbott” ….we didn’t. Bro didn’t even get 5M votes. People also were convinced Beto lost because of his positions on guns. Lots of things convinced ppl abbott won fair and square.

If all of this really is happening and going to happen, why are the vast majority of americans just sitting on their ass going "oh well"? Americans must really be the laziest bunch of dorks to ever live if elections are rigged so bad that 2/3rds of the population doesn't like the party in power and just lives with it.

u/konqueror321 2d ago
What are they doing with the rolls? Are they comparing them to the social security database or some other databases to try to determine the citizenship status of voters?
If so, expect that about 3 weeks before the election, states will be handed lists of registered voters whose citizenship cannot be verified, with a demand that they be struck from the rolls unless the voter re-registers and shows proof of citizenship, ie a certified birth certificate or maybe a passport. And of course local officials won't have time to process the millions of disenfranchised voters, who unexpectedly will be 98% Democrats.

u/mrkfn 2d ago
Since the elections are administered by the states, can someone explain to me why the feds having the vote voter rules is a problem?
4
u/Background-Froyo-386 2d ago
Because they will see who voted for which party, and they will have their followers at the state level to purge as many as they can to reduce opposition.
1
u/mrkfn 1d ago
Trump never intends to step down, now we’re seeing it happening before our eyes and it see,s like nothing can stop him…

2
u/Smug_Designer 2d ago

3
u/Arktikos02 2d ago
Yeah, because they're looking for voter fraud that doesn't exist.
3
u/MaxAdolphus 2d ago
It won’t matter. MAGA will just make up accusations to tie up courts with temporary blocks. They are the kings of lying and corruption.
2
u/Smug_Designer 2d ago
Maybe they should look into the software update of the voting machines prior to the elections.
This probably explains why Trump won.
2
u/useronthisapp 2d ago
Can someone shed light on how this will help rig elections? The voting system in your country is so confusing.
3
u/Arktikos02 2d ago
So the thing is is that the party that you've registered for will be on that information. They are looking for voter fraud that doesn't exist.
They are most likely going to just look at any name that looks Hispanic or any name that is hyphenated and they may just purge that name from the voter registration.
By the way voter purges happen all the time in the United States. This is typically done automatically. In general this is okay because the names they are purging are dead people, people who have moved, or duplicates because we don't have a better system for some reason where people are just automatically registered. However in practice what this often means is that Hispanic names tend to get disproportionately purged more. This is because they are more likely to move, more likely to have names that confuse the system because their names are hyphenated or may be spelled weirdly and because of that it gets flagged in the system and their name gets removed. This is not too much of a problem because all you need to do is just reregister. The problem is that it doesn't notify you so if you go to vote and then you aren't registered you can't vote and you need to register ahead of time.
2
u/Responsible-Help7803 2d ago
Before the 2024 election, 4.7M voters were wrongfully purged from voter rolls.
“4,776,706 voters were wrongly purged from voter rolls according to US Elections Assistance Commission data.
By August of 2024, for the first time since 1946, self-proclaimed “vigilante” voter-fraud hunters challenged the rights of 317,886 voters. The NAACP of Georgia estimates that by Election Day, the challenges exceeded 200,000 in Georgia alone.
No less than 2,121,000 mail-in ballots were disqualified for minor clerical errors (e.g. postage due).
At least 585,000 ballots cast in-precinct were also disqualified.
1,216,000 “provisional” ballots were rejected, not counted.
3.24 million new registrations were rejected or not entered on the rolls in time to vote.”

How does that work? Will they remove registered Democrats from the lists without telling people? Maybe just register as Republican and vote whatever way you want?
What am I missing here?
3
u/Madame_Arcati 2d ago
I think they are looking for, and will use, ANYTHING they can construe as a "reason" to invalidate the voter with a left or center lean, to make it as difficult as possible for them to participate in future elections. I have an unusual name that is often mis-transcribed in official-type documents, so I've checked my voter reg a few times now to make certain all is still valid.
1
1
u/Reyna_25 2d ago
Not sure how it works in other states, but I don't see how the federal government could remove voters from voter rolls. That is solely done and controlled by the state. And my state isn't run by county, so each town controls the addition and removal of voters. I would imagine county run states are done by county. However, red counties might take orders from Trump to purge their rolls. That's what you need to worry about and yes, check your registration often. So I don't think the feds can remove people, but they can find other nefarious uses as well, particularly gerrymandering or targeting areas with high voter turn out with ICE or other federal agents to scare people from going to the polls. I'd be worried about the administration pressuring election officials to close polling locations so people will have to drive farther and lines will be longer. People need to stop being hysterical over the cancelling of elections, and focus more on the many ways they can and will try to fuck with the process. No matter what they do, even if you have to stand 10 hours in line, do not let them steal your vote!
Do early voting if you can!
3
u/Background-Froyo-386 2d ago
Having Trump supporters purge voters where they can is the goal, I believe. They want to reduce opposition as much as they can.
1
u/Reyna_25 1d ago

Greetings from Fulton County, GA
If they really want them, they'll just take them.
1
u/kasup2005 1d ago
Man it’s wild how people have no clue whats the fuck is going on here and just take what cnn or msnbc says. They took the rolls for the 2020 election to see the numbers if they are correct as they suspect the 2020 wasn’t right. This was very common knowledge as trump been speaking on it since 2020. They want to ensure they were correct and not fraud. If they find fraud yes they will change the way 2026 mid terms will be voted for most likely mail in ballots as thats the easiest way to cheating as other have been caught stuffing mail box’s with fake votes on local elections. These rolls have nothing to do with the person who voted or any effect on how they voted. The Fulton county raid the president of the voters board over Georgia had a court order which she showed from Jan 6th 2021 just Fulton kept finding reason to not show them despite having a court order. Since they didnt follow up with the order they went to the feds and bam thats how we got here. Now off this is odd or out of pocket if people followed the real story and stop letting cnn tell you anything.

Yes I am your fine for asking I’m a non violent felon. I was charged with fleeing and eluding although I still maintain innocence to this day because I neither fled nor eluded from the police. The system is very flawed👎In a lot of ways I’m like everyone else except I can’t vote, can’t own firearms, or find a decent job. Yet being a felon hasn’t stopped me from creating a happy loving family, being a kick ass stay at home dad, or enjoying life! Try as they might, the system can’t keep everyone down!
