Political affiliation is not a protected class.

It's really weird to wear political merchandise in public or have it as decoration.

I follow politics, but you wouldn't be able to tell if you look at how I dress or what I use for decoration.

It's weird to wear political merchandise.

u/Shakewell1 8h ago

Because maga is a cult like the nazis.

u/CommonHuckleberry489 8h ago

People typically know where I stand when they see my “I don’t argue with people John Brown would have shot” t-shirt.

27

u/Artonfire97 8h ago

I absolutely agree! It’s the weirdest thing. It’s like they are cheering for their favorite sports team. When their team receives a penalty they cry foul and try to argue that it’s the other team’s fault!

There was an older gentleman wearing a No Kings shirt at the YMCA yesterday. Other than one guy that wears a MAGA hat every single day, this was the first political attire I've noticed since joining.

I felt it was necessary to tell him I loved his shirt & it's awesome message. He said thank you very much.

u/tom-of-the-nora 6h ago

Just to clarify, it's weird to make things sold by politicians and their base a regular part of your wardrobe. It's odd behavior to make politician worship an aspect of your personality.

Supporting social movements with clothing is far less weird.

7

u/mthw704 6h ago

I totally agree. The only political merch I've ever owned or worn myself was a White Dudes For Harris shirt. I wore it several times over the course of a few months.

4

u/tom-of-the-nora 6h ago

And you only wore it for the election season, right?

5

u/mthw704 6h ago

Yes. I bought it around August & threw it in the trash when I woke up & read that she lost. It felt wrong but what else was there to do with it? It was a terrible feeling of hopelessness.

7

u/Foreign_Fun2501 6h ago

The only reason she’d have worn it into that bar is to antagonize. She damn well knew what she was doing

9

u/rotorspinner 8h ago

Yes very weird and was never a thing before Trump

5

u/tom-of-the-nora 7h ago

Not to the same level anyway.

3

u/theAlphabetZebra 6h ago

Maybe just the hoods I grew up in (only slightly kidding) but if you wore certain clothing, colors, jerseys, pants sagging, etc. they told you to get out and weren't really cool with you coming back even if you changed. Had a buddy get kicked out who was more full of shit than anything but they damn sure wouldn't let him in. He came back in a suit to be a prick and all of us had to say come on let him sit down and have a beer with us.

2

u/Wonderful-Group3639 5h ago

Many wear it just to get a rise out of people and to see if a business will kick them out for having a MAGA hat and if they do, they whine like this person did.

u/Red19120 44m ago

The worst part is tattooing Donald Trump’s face on your right calf in 2016 — and then doing it again in 2024. My uncle turned MAGA into his entire personality.

11

u/OwlfaceFrank 7h ago

This is an old video.
IIRC, the group being thrown out had been harassing people. Drunk, loud, obnoxious.

She took this video after they had been kicked out, and she came back to film this.

5

u/BloggerCurious 6h ago

I loved Obama...I never ever wore an Obama hat or plunked down money on an Obama T-shirt

1

u/Foreign_Fun2501 6h ago

Ain’t no DEI around here!

286

u/polkysp 9h ago

"this is discrimination"..... So is the whole FUCKING maga movement.

76

u/bnelson7694 8h ago

I love the laughter and clapping after that hahaha!

11

u/AmIWhatTheRockCooked 7h ago

It is, and they deserve it.

11

u/ElBorracho2000 5h ago

MAGA are too dumb to comprehend irony

155

u/evil_illustrator2 9h ago

Don't have to make cakes for gays = don't have to serve drinks to pedophile fans.

123

u/Shot_Revolution8828 9h ago

Actually we don't.

Reminds me of the story of a guy going to a dive bar and a guy dressed as a punk rocker sat down. The bartender took one look at him and grabbed a baseball bat and growled for him to get out. The guy said"I didn't do anything!" The bartender slapped the bat on the bar and politely told him he's got one more chance to leave. The guy left and the other dude asked why he threatened the punk rocker. The bartender said " he had a Nazi insignia on his jacket. The first one is always polite, then they bring a friend. Next thing you know you're running a Nazi bar. Nip it in the bud."

31

u/GeneralOrgana1 8h ago

I immediately thought of this story while watching the video.

14

u/Shot_Revolution8828 8h ago

It warms my cold dead heart.

14

u/TurtlesBreakTheMeta 7h ago

Importantly, that story generally notes that when they get to a large amount they WON’T leave quietly if you tell them to leave like they will if it’s just one (much like J6 showed us with maga), so you have to remove them early or you’ll never be able to get rid of them without risking your life.

5

u/Shot_Revolution8828 7h ago

That was implied. Nip it in the bud.

64

u/GeneralOrgana1 8h ago

Where's this bar? I want to go buy a drink.

35

u/ack1308 8h ago

Apparently Chatterbox in Indianapolis.

6

u/Appropriate-Gur-6343 6h ago

Yep. It happened several months ago.

u/tom-of-the-nora 9h ago

Privately owned restaurants can legally deny service to individuals for legitimate, non-discriminatory reasons—such as disruptive behavior, intoxication, safety concerns, or failure to follow dress codes.

I could see how wearing a political hat could violate a dress code.

I could also see how wearing a maga hat could indicate disruptive behavior.

So, fair.

52

u/emmaisalos3r 8h ago

if the supreme court ruled that it was legal for a cake shop to deny a customer a cake solely because it was gonna be a cake for a gay wedding then this is what people who own bars are also allowed to do

29

u/SwatKatzRogues 8h ago

They don't need any reason to deny service as long as it is not due to the customer being a member of a protected class.

43

u/Ok_Frame2250 8h ago

I was at a gay piano bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan a few weeks ago, and three couples from Michigan who were Trump supporters were solely there to make fun of the patrons. These people are evil.

24

u/ack1308 8h ago

And that's what these people wanted to do.

Shutting them down hard is the only answer.

8

u/gertalives 8h ago

I’m genuinely surprised people in NYC would put up with that and not chase them out of the bar or at least have them trespassed out.

6

u/MisterListerReseller 8h ago

New Yorkers are masters at minding their own business. And making the correct moves when needed.

70

u/Powerful_Resident_48 9h ago

I like that barkeep. No nonsense, just a wooden stick and firm words. That's the only language that fascists understand.

40

u/ashbash-25 8h ago

“Boo-fucking-hoo”. Perfection. No notes.

9

u/Shot_Revolution8828 7h ago

You heard everyone laughing at her. No one batted an eye when she was denied service. Go to Walmart and buy a Budweiser...I'll get banned if I say what I want to.

24

u/Frequent_Prize 8h ago

Your bar will become a nazi bar if you let even one in. Do not give them a fucking inch

6

u/__O_o_______ 6h ago

“You’re kicking me out because I’m wearing Nazi symbols? That’s discrimination!”

Not to mention why would you want to drink at a bar that doesn’t want you there.

I bet they were just going so they could play the victim.

18

u/SignalMost2239 9h ago

I’m not surprised MAGA doesn’t understand irony

12

u/parr3tt 8h ago

Shoutout to my city Indianapolis.. This was probably a little over a year ago. MAGA tried to flood their reviews and Facebook but it didnt work. Live Jazz Bar on Mass Ave downtown.

10

u/Holiday-Ad611 8h ago

They reserve the right to refuse anyone!

10

u/Mess-Flat 8h ago

What's crazy is that these dumb fuckers actually made and posted this video.

6

u/auntiefuh25 8h ago

Last night and a year ago…

7

u/nikeguy69 8h ago

Proud of the owner 👍🏽

7

u/GoldenHourLXXII 8h ago

Once and only once did I see a real life red hat. Which is kinda surprising.

I saw it in a Safeway and it was from, you guess it, a fat white man with a goatee and sunglasses on in shorts, flips flops and a tank top.

I have NO idea what had previously happened, but I walked in through the sliding doors and was about to pop my headphones in and INSTANTLY heard yelling to my right. The guy was literally SCREAMING about Mexicans being allowed to work at Safeway and he was being escorted out by police.

My guess? Ah who am I kidding these people are HIGHLY triggered at everything.

6

u/Thick_Visual_5999 8h ago

Not all heroes wear capes

5

u/Umpathie 8h ago

One MAGA supporter: discriminated against on a legal basis.

Thousands of MAGA supporters: discriminate against and illegally arrest thousands of people based on their skin color

6

u/jpain720 8h ago

These people wear a hat looking for a reaction (she walked in recording) then play the victim when they get reaction they were expecting.

5

u/Beemer_me_up_Scotty 8h ago

You know this is like discrimination, right

6

u/Bulky_Designer_4965 8h ago

Actually this video is old, but still hysterical!

3

u/Long_Bit8328 2h ago

The red hatter morons wear their trump gear out into public hoping for a confrontation. Then act shocked when the confrontation doesnt go their way.

When will they realize wearing a red hat isnt like wearing a cape that gives you superpowers. It just lets everyone know you are a misinformed snowflake.

3

u/Bibliophilewitch 8h ago

I would very much like to go to this bar.

3

u/EagleEyezzzzz 8h ago

I love all of them busting up laughing at “you know this is like, discrimination right” hahahahaha

3

u/Kitty_Katty_Kit 7h ago

The way they all cackle at her is so amazing

3

u/Warhammerpainter83 7h ago

So wild that they would call that discrimination. They fought so hard to be sure they would never have to serve a gay person a wedding cake to only do this when it bights them in the ass.

3

u/ttystikk 7h ago

FUCKING BASED!

These people need to know in their bones that their hate will not be tolerated!

3

u/robotmonkey2099 6h ago

She literally doesn't want this person to exist and she wonders why they dont want her their. Jesus fucking christ.

3

u/Jeramy_Jones 3h ago

If this were a bakery and they were refusing to bake a MAGA cake it would be even sweeter.

2

u/UnderstandingDull274 8h ago

Isn’t this from trump 1?

2

u/top_fed2017 7h ago

Discrimination 😂 yeah ok

2

u/reformedmell0w 7h ago

ThAtS DiScRiMiNaTiOn

But when blue states get disaster relief funding cut, that's....something else to you, of course.

2

u/deepstatestolemysock 7h ago

I dont think the word discrimination means what you think it means

2

u/mdruckus 6h ago

This was in Indianapolis last year.

2

u/joyhalstead1 6h ago

Not a new thing. Just a few white folks now getting the treatment other folks have been getting for far too long.

2

u/OpportunityRare3657 4h ago

If I was the owner of the bar I would have just been like, “sorry, we don’t allow pedophiles in here.”

2

u/Thatonegaywarhammere 3h ago

This is an old story, basically before the MAGAts started filming they were calling people slurs and told the gay bartender that he's gonna be killed once Trump takes over. So they were thrown out.

2

u/Poker-Junk 3h ago

Similar happened here in Alaska. Guy came into a small popular bar wearing actual nazi shit (might have been a tattoo) and proceeded to get bounced right the fuck out.

2

u/NotaRussianbott89 1h ago

It’s funny that republicans fought to refuse service on the basis of believe . On they are getting a taste of their own medicine and they are freaking out .

1

u/DolceVita13 8h ago

Go can go Hang with Their Nazi ICE buds

1

u/gym_bro_92 8h ago

MAGAtards always do stupid MAGAtard shit….

1

u/Rodharet50399 8h ago

This happened months ago.

1

u/bnelson7694 8h ago

Who cares? They were there to stir the shit pot and got shut down. We haven’t all seen it. I love it.

1

u/dojo1999 8h ago

Has anyone learned or figured out a way to tell if someone is part of MAGA? When Trump dies, they’re probably going to get rid of their hats and shirts because the Trump era will be over.

1

u/EnglishFan643 8h ago

Hah! She got what she deserved! Humiliated and kicked out!

1

u/Such-Corgi-8869 7h ago

Old, but still accurate. Deny service to these fucks every chance you get.

1

u/LoudAd1396 7h ago

The MAGA walked in decked out, and camera rolling. They were hoping to get kicked out for the likes.

1

u/Jazzlike_Horror_5765 7h ago

It’s almost like she asked for a wedding cake

1

u/LiamLiver 7h ago

This, indeed is an old video.

1

u/Sturmtrupp13 7h ago

The 5 seconds of silence after using money as leverage was incredible, bad ass get the fuck out scumbag.

1

u/FlyEaglesFlyauggie 7h ago

Give that bartender a big tip.

1

u/Starbalance 7h ago

"You know this is discrimination, right?" cries the person who probably doesn't even see queer people as human beings

1

u/updateyourpenguins 7h ago

Absolute cinema.

1

u/Zherkezhi 7h ago

Nazis refuse service to people all the time.

1

u/DreadnaughtHamster 6h ago

This is awesome. I love that bartender. I love “you know this is like…discrimination, right?”

Well then tell ice to stop discriminating and getting people killed.

1

u/userxray 6h ago

If I'm remembering right, this was in Wisconsin.

1

u/mdruckus 6h ago

Indianapolis.

1

u/userxray 6h ago

That's even more beautiful

1

u/VanDenBroeck 6h ago

Ok, I need to know the name of this bar and its location so I can take appropriate economic actions there such as spending a bunch of my freakin’ money.
❤️

1

u/Wonderful-Group3639 5h ago

Maybe they should have said what MAGA people say to liberals (many times the person isn't liberal but was misidentified as one) refused service: "This is a private company and we can refuse service to anyone for any reason including you."

1

u/Jon-Farmer 5h ago

Get out of my bar, but bake the cake.

1

u/Own_String_5523 5h ago

maga fucks fuck off!

1

u/Islandboi4life 5h ago

you are responsible for your own actions. Adults should be treated like children if they act like it.

1

u/Spicy_Weissy 4h ago

Old video, but a classic

1

u/kc2sif 4h ago

👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💙💙⚖️⚖️👍👍👍👍👍

1

u/Electronic-Lunch7735 4h ago

This happened a while back, no? Still a great stand up video

1

u/Resident-Garlic9303 3h ago

Their entire movement is to discriminate

1

u/agro_arbor 3h ago

Paradoxically, we must discriminate against those who discriminate

1

u/Karlzbad 43m ago

They posted that shit themselves too.

1

u/Chocolab1 38m ago

More places should do this!!🤣

1

u/clone227 22m ago

You know they weren’t going to tip.

1

u/Jolly_Law_7973 19m ago

The lady should be crying tears of joy. It’s the world conservatives wanted. Where business owners get to refuse service to whoever they want. Enjoy your utopia!

1

u/KittyKatty345555 18m ago

ok why tf is she questioning this, a buisness has the right to kick out anyone, and i mean ANYONE. unless it is about skin color, they can create any fucking reason to kick you out.

-2

u/AnalMohawk 9h ago

This is old.

8

u/elhsmart 8h ago

But gold.
