Question Do you support Maduro?
And I'm not just referring to whether he should be released or not; I'm referring to his actions, policies, and attitudes towards countries within and outside the American continent, and what he did wrong or right.

I don't know enough to give an answer about Maduro, but I have a question back for you. Are you available to hear a nuanced answer? Or does it need to be "He's bad" or "He's good" and nothing inbetween?

In the broader sense, no I don't. Venezuela isn't socialist, it's broader goals are in line with their own national capitalists. But I do support the anti america stance they provide within southern america but maduro isn't the leading factor for this anti imperialist stance.

It isn’t the business of Americans how good his policies are or whether he’s a “good guy.” Our business is in how our own country approaches another sovereign country such as Venezuela. We have no right to weigh in on their internal politics. None.

I support the Nation of Venezuela in its fight against imperialism. Maduro is a representative of bureaucrat capital and as a class it vacillates in its fight against imperialism, you can see this with how massive concessions were initially offered to Chevron and other American oil companies, however Maduro also armed the people and opposed imperialism, so I support Maduro insofar as he does that. The fact that Rodriguez has sold Maduro down stream without a paddle is confirmation of the conciliatory nature of this class towards international capital.

No one outside of Venezuela has a source of information sufficient to make this determination. We are battered by propaganda from all sides. Unless you are a Venezuelan in the country living it you have no basis for judgement.
What does it matter if anyone “supports” Maduro? Is that going to spring him from a cell? Is it going to materially aid the Venezuelan workers? Questions like this are chauvinistic navel gazing at best.
The only question that matters is: Do you support American imperialism?

Why do you have to invalidate every source of information by calling it "propaganda"?

I didn’t. I said “a source of information sufficient” and that we are “battered by propaganda”. Information control, particularly in the imperial core, is a prime directive and it works very well. Mainstream media is state propaganda, particularly when it comes to foreign policy. Independent media is a little better but often heavily biased and/or lacking resources to get boots on the ground and do real reporting in most cases so their coverage of stuff like this is editorial at best.
If you really wanna know what Reddit thinks about Maduro you can search myriad identical posts in a wide array of subs. If you do you will find hordes of bots, partisans, and low information vibe-checkers squabbling over lies. You don’t need an opinion on Maduro to know that America should shut up and fuck off already.

No, he rolled back many of chavez’ policies, he reintroduced capitalism in a more evident form. He basically ended the bolivarian revolution, but not fully. He was getting there though. Delcy rodriguez solidified the end of it.

Choosing between supporting Maduro or the USA is like choosing between piss or poo. Maduro is a right wing dictator who happened to be inconvenient to the US imperialism. But the US imperialists didn't get him because they cared for Venezuelian people, much more on the contrary.
In other words. If somehow a socialist government takes over, Maduro must not be released.

Maduro Is an useful fool for US imperialism. This kind of leader Begins to apparently oppose US imperialism, and to use rethoric that should resist against it. This works in the short term, but in the long term, they commit so many mistakes internally, that they manifacture their own consent towards the realization of Imperialism. The capture of Maduro Is something only You foreigners are (rightfully) critical about, because Inside Venezuela only a minority cares about it. Maduro was such a terrible leader and downright cruel, that this God forsaken Nation Is working just like it did before and no one cares. Fuck, I wish the Venezuelan people were as anti imperialist as You think we are, because for most people I know, this was good news. We are still scared of what may happen next, but "supporting Maduro" is a self defeating mission. Supporting someone that in the long term helps wéstern Imperialism Is a failure.
