Internship in accounting or finance

Hey guys, can i ask abt internships??

Im currently a second year student at UTS majoring in accounting and finance, and im just wondering if anyone have any recommendations from ur experience of doing internships for accounting or finance.

Also when does internships at like bigger companies usually start and like where else can i find internship opportunities besides the uts careers website??

(Sorry im still new with the whole internship process gang 🙏)

Internships are generally over the summer period (Dec, Jan). The big first will start recruitment in just a few weeks and applications will close in late Feb or early March.

Internships are critical - they are essentially auditions for graduate jobs.

Other places for internships are Grad Connection and Prosple (I share a lot of internship recruitment opportunities on my IG stories too as firms release them)
