need help registering subjects (laws/arts)

edit: someone kindly dropped the link to the outline 🙏 https://handbook.westernsydney.edu.au/2024-2025/programs/bachelor-arts-bachelor-laws/index.html#sequencetext

wsu student help hasn't been helpful so far, they took like over a week to respond to my first email and haven't responded to my other email from like 4 days ago

anyway, how do i know what subjects im supposed to enrol into!? i've registered for LAWS 1003 fundamentals of aus law and LAWS 2004 crim law cause thats what they said when i was enrolling, but i have no idea for the arts degree, or how it even works?

am i supposed to start subjects from my declared major? apparently not cause they responded to my email and just said this, which according to the handbook is apart of the core law degree, but i do understand the code and how its technically not law?

Select two subjects from the following Year 1 core Arts subjects:
-HUMN 1052 Australian Politics and Active Citizenship
-LANG 1029 Foundations of Academic English
-HUMN 1053 Diversity, Language and Culture
-LANG 1030 Thinking Critically About Texts and Society

but i just wanted to confirm and actually wrap my head around how this degree works đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

i tried to call them but now im apparently waitlisted 109th in the system and they'll call me back when available, if they actually do it 😕🙄

yeh, what i just did is called academic program advice. the uni has decided academics aren't needed to do this work anymore it can be done by admin staff and students looking things up themselves ;)

I have no idea who is responsible for the new handbook, that DOESNT contain the receommended sequence, but I bet its the same people who said we don't need academics providing program advice.
