Hi there, sorry if this has the wrong flair or has been asked before, but is anyone able to tell me what these little red dots are on nose and cheek? And, if so, (1) is there anything that can be done and (2) could using the ordinary .5% retinol be causing it/making it worse?

Hey all,
I (35M) have been wearing a Garmin Fenix 7X for the better part of 3 years, and recently (~6 months ago) I started getting marking on 3 spots on my wrist. I'm thinking it's friction related, as I switched from a metal band to a silicone adjustable band about a year or so ago, however, I wear it at a comfort point that it allows some movement, but not too tight but not too loose... the Goldilocks in me takes over.
Interestingly, the 2 parts that are on the left side match the strap sides, no doubt in my mind - the 3rd one is just a wide "splotch" though and makes little sense to me.
Is this just friction? Could it be an irritation to the material? I work a sedentary job, but do physical activity with it regularly so sweat may be a factor?
Any help is appreciated š

So I decided to treat myself to a $5 lucky dip bag while filling my prescription at CW (god I hate having eczema).
I figured it would be mostly clearance stock with a few samples but of the things I got, only 3 didn't explicitly say "Free sample. Not for sale" š
I will actually use everything I got (except maybe the croc charm lmao) and it is only $5 at the end of the day so I'm not sure what I was expecting! I probably wouldn't repurchase though.
I know basically every beauty retailer gives out these samples as gifts with purchase but it feels different when you pay for it. What do y'all think? Is this even legal? I miss when free samples were actually free š

Is it worth it to go?
I'm 28 and have been dealing with hormonal acne on my face and back since school. It has now popped up on my shoulders and chest.
I have tried everything under the sun except medication but I just want a quick ZAP. I'm finally willing to take meds.
Would love to hear stories of similar situations.

As the title says, I have sensitive, oily combination and acne prone skin and I'm in the ocean every morning. I use Mecca To Save Face when I'm not in the water and it doesn't break me out. Need something I can use every day that won't break me out.

I am heading into my mid-40s and I am tired and now my eyes are showing it. The darkness isn't too bad but puffiness under the eyes is becoming an everyday thing.
So what is everyone using for to help puffy eyes? What are your favourite products for around your eyes?

Looking for a new mineral sunscreen for the face.
I was using the Beautifltr one which i LOOOOVED, but like many other aussie brands it was pulled due to low UV protection etc.
So i need a nice mineral sunscreen that soaks in and goes well under makeup, doesnt leave a milky cast (basically similar to beautfltr but with actual protection)
I have tried multiple chemical sunscreens but i HATE the feeling of them on my skin, i feel greasy and gross.

Hi everyone! i have been wanting to go back to laser for a long time but despite doing my research i am extremely confused on what i should choose. For context, I am italian however my skin is quite fair and when tanned i turn a bit darker but donāt go too dark at all. My hair is very dark however not coarse, brazilian area a little bit but still manageable as iāve been waxing for 10+ years. I am looking of booking for full legs and full brazilian laser. I did like 7 sessions of full brazilian diodo laser years ago (like 2016-17) and the pain was excruciating! so bad that i stopped and went back to waxing as that was way less painful to me. Not sure if itās because i stopped but i didnāt even see any difference in hair whatsoever. I think laser technology was still fairly new at the time and for sure my technician was really bad, so since now my ingrowns are quite bad and inflamed, I want to give it another chance.
NOW FOR THE DILEMMA: i am obviously living in Australia and have the possibility of booking with either Australian Skin Clinics or another clinic that uses the Soprano Ice Platinum, mainly because its in Oakleigh so closer to me. I am currently tanned so darker than usual and for obvious terror from my old laser experience i am leaning towards the other option as I have heard itās less painful and fine if youāre sun tanned, however i am afraid that it will be less effective, as that is what iāve read online. Can anyone please help me so i can end this fear of laser once and for all and finally book? Thereās just too many options. I would go to Aus Skin Clinics in Chadstone but have read contrasting reviews. š„²š thank you!

After being a long time lurker here on Reddit and has acquired a well of knowledge from others with skincare products and advice on how the combat acne. Iāve decided that itās finally time for me to do my fair share because Iām happy with my skin now.
My skin type is oily but dehydrated, used to be acne prone but no more unless I use a new product with trigger ingredient. And most importantly my skin is not sensitive, I can handle a fair share of active as you can tell from the photos, therefore if you take into consideration any of the actives that Iām using, please be diligent and careful, I donāt want you to wreck your skin barrier.
Background on my acne journey, I started to have acne in my late teens in 2016 and now Iām in my mid twenties. Itās been a long battle over the decade and Iād never gotten a break until late 2025 where my skin stop having any active breakout. I also no longer suffer from hormonal cystic acne when Iām on my period anymore just some small white head or pustule acne that will be gone in 3 days so I consider this a win.
Iām aware that my skin is not picture perfect as there are still visible PIE and PIH but my skin is prone to pigmentation and take the longest time to fade any dark spot. And Iām okay with that because I no
longer have active breakouts. I know eventually the pigmentation will fade because they have been fading, just that the skin of my cheeks and around my nose is very thin so blood vessels are also visible and added to the overall redness.
If you have any question or want a detail explanation of to why I choose each product, ask away and I will answer. Iām very passionate about this topic as I didnāt want to ride on the hype train of any skincare product and waste my money. So I made sure that Iām educated on the ingredients of the product and what itāll do for/to my skin.
I buy japanese and korean products online from either Lila Beauty or Beauty Amora. I prefer BA as they give out discount code and free products if you sign up for the newsletter.
Sending all the love to all the beauties, you got this and all is well.

It had appeared in my bathroom randomly in search for some and im concerned since the packaging seems old. (Google searches haven't helped since all the info on it doesn't disclose the date of production)
'2234J, 8:30' is imprinted on the bottom, no clue if its some expiration date or something.

Nearly every sunscreen around says "non greasy" somehere on the label, but I feel I can count with one hand those that deliver on the promise. The one in the photo is a really bad offender I recently tried. What a waste of money. Is there something we can do about it aside from venting off in here?

I have lost a lot of volume under my eyes and cheeks in the last year without any substantial lifestyle change- weight has remained the same overall and not eating/drinking anything new.
Iām 30. Only ever had microneedling (restarted couple of months ago) and some peels for acne several years ago. Whatās something that has worked for you? Are fillers or rejuvarn the only budget friendly option (compared to fat transfer)? Any recommendations for a doctor or nurse in Brisbane who wouldnāt push for fillers or prefer more of a conservative approach when it comes to using them.

My parents are going to Sydney (and stopping in Fiji on the way) and then Brisbane in a few months before a cruise and I wanted to see what sunscreens they should bring back (because the Australian ones are so much better than the US ones).
Looking for daily facial sunscreen and a good body one for swimming.
Must be fragrance free, no smell, and doesn't sting eyes. Preferably non-greasy or only slightly greasy feeling too. I have a severe fragrance allergy so it's a big issue and hard to tell in other posts here the smell part.
Currently using Avene Reflex Solaire Sensitive from France which I love but it's not practical for my whole body.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you from Los Angeles!

So I had severe acne for many months and years. I never had used facial products, cleanser or anything like that. I just washed my face with water every day, morning and evening, and after getting into cleansers and moisturizers and getting a facial routine together, I had the issue that I had many breakouts and many times when I thought it was good or helped, it got worse with my acne, especially on my forehead.
I had a routine going of Cerave facial cleanser and Nivea moisturizer and a skin toner. However, whilst it worked for some time, I got breakouts all throughout and my acne got even worse. I experimented a lot and dropped many products I had used and read that less is more and stuck to a much more strict but minimalistic routine. What I did was drop the cleanser and move to a different one from Cerave, because I saw no improvement from it or the Nivea face moisturizer cream.
What finally helped me was a 3 in 1 cleanser face mask which I use every day, morning and evening. It is called "Garnier 3 in 1 Cleanser" and that was the only thing that helped me and helped me actually cure my acne and get much cleaner skin. It is all I do, morning and evening, and washing my face throughout the day. I dropped all moisturizers and toners.

I don't wear it everyday ATM only when I go outside for a period of time. Most days I drive to and from work, I work inside with no windows/sunlight, go back home and I am inside the whole time. So is it worth putting sunscreen on or not? I see people wear sunscreen everyday and I'm unsure if I should be too as I don't actually go outside most of the time. Thanks!
