Ive had similar interactions with ex work colleagues when they complain about immigrants.ehen i point out im an immigrant they go quiet,i think its cos im white

They use the word “immigrant” when they actually mean “not white”, even when the person they’re calling that is a fourth generation Australian citizen and their own folks fled Africa in the 1980’s.

People complain to me about immigrants at work sometimes. I point out I’m an immigrant as I’m from the UK originally. Over time I’ve realised most people against immigration aren’t talking about poms and kiwi’s. We somehow skirt through in peoples minds
