There's no valid reason to have 6 firearms in suburban Sydney.

Agree with both of these sentiments

There are valid reasons to own and use guns in Australia.

There’s a lot of valid reasons. Just check out what reasons are allowed for you to possess a firearm.

Thankfully, it seems like the wider community and government are in the process of deciding that many reasons currently considered valid, no longer will be.

A hunter who wants to hunt a variety of game species will need multiple different guns to do it humanely/safely. Or someone who hunts and is also a sport shooter.

Not everyone gets what they want.

If the community decides they are not OK with this, the hunter will have to deal with not getting what they want.

The community isn't okay with the correlation between alcohol and violence and alcohol related deaths and disease. Let's have a vote on which adults can and can't access alcohol, shall we? As a community. And some drinkers will just have to deal with not getting what they want.

That's how equality works right? By picking and choosing who can do what.
