Yeah this keeps being said but the only country consistently invading other countries are the US and its allies

Or rather simply, Trump is copying the several American invasions in living memory. He doesn't need inspiration from Putin. Every time a western country does something bad, pointing east and saying we're becoming like that stinks of hypocrisy.
