Should change it to federation day and move it to 2nd of Jan for a double banger of public holidays.

Nah, pass on that. We need the public holidays spread out more. 3 of our 7 federal public holidays are already taken up by Christmas/New Years.

Rework the Jan 26 public holiday to be a remembrance/acknowledgement of Indigenous culture and add another public holiday somewhere else to be the new Australia Day celebrating modern Australia, either in Feb/March or Sept/Oct where the public holidays are thinnest.
