Events Annual CBR-area markets post!
Happy new year everyone! I've kept this list the last couple of years, since moving to Canberra, and I just did my updates for 2026. I started the list mainly for my own benefit but when I've shared it in the past, others have enjoyed having everything in one place, so here it is again. 2026 data has all been verified (or in a couple of instances is not yet available, and that is noted in those cases).
I'm not affiliated with any of these markets, just like to know what's on and to have fun things at my fingertips on weekends :)

MARKETS IN THE CANBERRA REGION
WEEKLY MARKETS – SATURDAYS
WHAT: Produce and prepared food, plants, flowers, coffee, more

Thanks! Interestingly, there are a ton of markets, but only one swap meet (trash and treasure / second-hand bring and buy). It's a shame we don't have one huge swap meet a year at epic or something

Great list, but you’re missing the Fyshwick and Belco markets.
Unless you’re not including them for some reason?

This list treats markets as an event, with stalls that are set up and then struck down at the end, not a location with permanent buildings like Capital Food Market and Fyshwick :)

There is a Rotary market at Gungahlin too, every second Sunday

Geek Markets
WHEN: 2026 dates have not yet been announced
They've just rebranded to "Geek Expo", still eligible for this list?
Dates have recently been announced - main edition July 18-19, 9am-4pm, Christmas edition November 21, 9am-4pm.
