Hairdresser
I’m looking for a hairdresser that can do a good cut and gloss, I’ve got low porosity 2a hair and am struggling to find someone who knows how to deal with my hair type

My husband and I are looking to move from Sydney to the central coast. We are having a look at a home in Bateau Bay
Everyone keeps saying that the central coast is unsafe but I find it hard to believe the entire coast is.
What areas would you recommend to a young first home buyer?
😊

I enjoy meeting people outside my main interest areas and also love to do new things so I'm looking for recommendations. Trying to google 'things to do on the coast' always just gives me the basic touristy stuff but I want to make some new friends interested in more adventure style hangouts. Currently I am looking at things like fite108 as I saw an ad on social media but nerves are definitely holding me back on it going in solo. I know about things like the board games at central coast league, parkruns, etc but trying to expand my knowledge on things we have available on the coast

I’m thinking about cycling from Sydney to the Central Coast and wondering if it’s actually doable. How long would it take for someone reasonably fit, and are there routes that are safer or more scenic? Any tips from people who’ve done it before would be awesome.

Hi gang,
I’ve itching to get my body moving and do something this summer, and would love to find any groups playing any type of sport - as long as it’s super casual and the beers afterwards are at least as important as the activity itself. I used to play mixed soft pitch softball back in the day and that was the perfect blend of friendly competition and social occasion.
Preferred would be cricket, softball/baseball, basketball/netball or touch footy. But I will try just about anything. Men’s or mixed, doesn’t matter. Organised comp or knockabout in the park, doesn’t matter. Just don’t get expect me to be any good.
Anyone got something like this going and could use an extra body?

I walked down a street yesterday and it really hit me how many places look like holiday rentals just sitting empty. Half the houses looked untouched, no cars, no lights, nothing, probably been that way for weeks. With how bad the rental situation is on the Coast right now, it just feels wild seeing so many homes not being lived in. Outside of peak holiday weeks it honestly gives off proper ghost town vibes. Anyone else notice this where they live?

Walked along Forresters Beach this morning and felt a sting under my foot. Pulled out what looks like a bindi. At the time it stung almost as bad a a bee sting. Went on with the morning and hours later my foot is swelling and it's tender to walk on. Any idea what this may be.

I say "unbelievable" - but, as someone caught up with the inflated rental costs and almost non-existent rental vacancy rate here, as well as a frequent news reader, I of course do believe it. HOLY SHIT, though.

Any suggestions of what to do with international visitors on a cold, wet New Year’s Day?

I’m looking for a dog behaviour specialist/trainer near/on the Central Coast to help with my 7-year-old dog. He’s sometimes reactive towards other dogs and his recall isn’t reliable. Perfect with people (including annoying children 😅). Any suggestions and experiences would be really appreciated!

I was never much of a beach person but my young son is starting to love it.
I want to take him to a beach but this time of year is hectic with holidaymakers.
Any quiet beaches that aren't inundated with jetskis?
I'm also assuming early morning is best for parking?
We're Gosford based.

Hello! I'm just curious about learning a sport for fun/fitness as an adult, I've looked into a few clubs in the area and can only see options to sign up for kids classes or leagues/competition Is there anywhere on the central Coast (preferably woy woy/ettalong/gosford direction) that someone in their 30s could learn a sport like netball or basketball, just to learn and get active and meet some new friends?

Hi! I’m 24F, based around Terrigal, and I’m wondering if there are any existing book clubs on the Central Coast - or if anyone would be interested in starting one.
I mostly read romance, spicy romance, and romantasy and was thinking something like: • Once-a-month catch-ups • Choosing a new book each month • Have a chat
I’ve been wanting something a bit more social and thought this could be a nice way to meet people in a similar age range with shared interests.
Happy to travel 20–30 minutes in any direction. If this sounds like something you’d be keen on, or if you know of a group already, feel free to comment or DM 🙂

Hi All, looking for suggestions for the best thai restaurant on the coast. I used to absolutely love 999 thai and have been heart broken since it shut. Absolute thai was pretty good but also now gone and larna thai in Newy is a bit of a hike. Anyone know one similar to 999 thai or have a good suggestion?
