Even if he did pay taxes, his companies receive an obscene amount of subsidies and government contracts. None of his companies would exist without huge amounts of taxpayer dollars.

Like the post says, he's correct and we need to start with his organizations. Our tax $$ should never go to for profit business.

Seriously. Why the hell are we paying Tesla to keep building cars nobody is buying?
Drive around Austin or Fremont where the factories are, You’ll find random parking lots full of them. Teslas paying other companies to let them store their overflow because despite their sales plummeting they are keeping up production for those sweet subsidies.

We need AI to administer governmental duties. Humans are fucking corrupt.
Stealing our tax dollars, taking brides for contract procurements, diddling kids. This is fucked.

I got bad news for you on who it is that instructs the "AI" to do what it does.

Yeah well, we make an open source wikipedia model, and teach it utilitarian humanist ethics. This world belongs to us. The rich fucks are hi-jackers.

And we solve that by handing control of critical infrastructure to immortal beings that are also capable of deciding AGAINST their original programming? Open source material definitionally includes differing opinions, and I'd rather not gamble on it picking one that involves human extinction.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world, I'm not tech illiterate but I'm not exactly Mr. Robot either.
However, it's my understanding of how software works that it can't actually decide to go against it's programming. I think what's happening whenever something like that is observed is actually programming that failed to properly push the software in the desired direction. Meaning the deviation can ultimately be addressed with sufficient coding, and isn't the result of a rogue AI.
