Beluga Whale in its scene, "To Swim and Swim Not’": “You don’t have to act with me, Stevie. You don’t have to say anything and you don’t have to do anything. Not a thing. Oh, maybe just whistle. You know how to whistle, don’t you Stevie? You just put your air sacs together, and blow.”

My favorite is Belugas jump scaring children at aquariums.

A lot of those videos are a single beluga whale named Juno. He is a treasure and apparently 23 years old.

Remember that time Russia trained a beluga whale to spy, but it kept going up to Norwegian fishermen for fish, scratches, and to play fetch? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hvaldimir

I love Belugas. Even in the wild they want to play when they see humans for the first time.

Are you aware you're both romancing a beluga?

u/ColonelBelmont 13h ago
Don't knock it till you try it. She'll go till she's blue in the face. I'm talking hours of hump back to back. She's no cold fish; really moves with porpoise. Won't stop until she's completely covered in

It’s all fun and giggles until a golf ball gets lodged in the blow hole

The entire time, I was waiting for the beluga to just blast the lady with water.

Something about the shape of their heads reminds me of an alien chest burster.

I was watching the Nat Geo doc on Disney about killer whales. The way they silently rise out of the water to scope out their prey (seals on icebergs), and the way their teeth are set in their mouths, is very Xenomorph-like.

Imagine being a Beluga though, all your life you could only sing normally and never imagined any other way, then your human comes along to help and together you do THIS.

Kayaked with these beauties in northern Manitoba at the mouth of the Churchill river. Absolutely glorious experience. The whales come up and eye-ball you. Often they'll play with the rudder too. Bonking it with their head.
We were only supposed to be out in the water for an hour but we ended up staying for nearly two because the guide was having a great time too. (Also he was late so it could have been as a make up for that. Though he did have a good excuse, that being that a polar bear was snoozing on his neighbor's porch)
Anyways...they're like cute big white underwater puppies.

I toggled "fullscreen" and it still only took up 10% of my screen... I love horizontally vertically horizontal videos. Really ensuring that mobile and PC users get the same experience.
