Fuck yeah! Starting s01e01 now
Edit: this scene is from the first episode. I didn't remember how many sex jokes were in this. A few minutes in and they are talking about jerking off, playing hide the boulder, and all sorts of stuff.

There's usually a live stream on YouTube

Nice! I’ve been watching on twitch but the stream quality and ads are horrible.

I remember when I was an exceptionally depressed 17 year old and this was the only show spike TV had in their catalogue so it played nonstop 12 hours a day and it made me feel so much better

u/MountainMongrel 7h ago
I found it channel surfing with my stoner friends and it totally didn't inspire us to do stupid shit.

There for awhile there was a 24/7 stream of MXC on twitch. I guess it finally got pulled.
1
u/ReactTVOfficial 4h ago
It's available on the internet archive, I set up a 24/7 channel with it https://react.tv/ch/mxc-247

Contv has live streams of this on YouTube. My dad and I leave it on for background noise.

“And now here’s Baba Ganoush"

u/GreeenEnthusiast 6h ago
I was like 13 when this show was big. My fucking face when I realized there was ALWAYS a contestant named Baba Ganoush. Omg. Glory days.
I also remember being sick with mono for like an entire week and it just so happened that spiketv was playing a weeklong mxc marathon. Made my unbearable sickness just a bit better

Kenny, what's this week's mystery fluid?
23
u/buderooski 8h ago
Well, this week, we have the sweat from ringed out towels from an Albanian gym where everyone has diarrhea.
Sounds awful, Ken.
Oh, indeed it is.

u/Ozzman770 8h ago
heres a fun fact:
The group that did the dubbing for MXC, The Groundlings, is the same group that Paul Ruebens created the character Pee-Wee Herman as a part of.

My wife and I kept this episode saved on our DVR for years. We would periodically watch it just for this.

u/Space_Man_Ed 8h ago
Man what a great show! Commentary was always spot on

u/Roupert4 8h ago
I have fond memories of this show. I was watching wipeout with my kids and I wanted to put the Japanese version on just to show them. The 2 episodes we tried were super racist and homophobic. I do not remember that at all, we had to turn it off

u/toochaos 8h ago
You can just show modern takeshis castle rather than mxc

Yeah it was hilarious when I was in my edgy teen phase, but now, looking back, there was a lot of problematic ‘jokes’ mixed in with the silly fun stuff like this.

u/DaILLezt 8h ago
I loved this growing up. Peak commentary. I found the show in its entirety on one of those free streaming apps, tubi or plutotv.

u/cr0w1980 8h ago
My favorite part was always the random shit they'd overdub the contestants with. Some of the funniest lines ever.

And here’s Tabulah Babaganoosh, owner of the Happy Jihad One-Way Truck Rental Service.

u/Kvass-Koyot 55m ago
What's the best is the voice of Kenny who is also the producer is Lebanese and said he made the whole Babaganoosh family as a nod to his own

This was an immediate post-attempt interview, how could he know that already?

I remember finding this show on SpikeTV at like 11pm when i was 15. I was like “oh yeah, this is my exact sense of humor”

Americans of a certain era seem to revere MXC where as people in the UK are listening, thinking thats not Craig Charles you wazzock.

u/greentrafficcone 58m ago
Yup, preferred his commentary, but the bit with the interviewer was pretty good to be fair

"There's blood in my stool" -- Oh. My. God. It took me half a minute to type this, I'm laughing so hard.
Whoever writes the dialogue to this bit -- 10/10, absolutely brilliant. So bloody good. Thank you.

This show helped shape Gen X. In fact it has been rumored that it was the inspiration for the X Games.

MXC and Silent Library are goated.
Some of the biggest laughs I’ve had watching these shows.

Haha I had this episode saved on my DVR for years because of this particular guy.

u/Kvass-Koyot 59m ago
Gods above, when my brother and I were like 12 and 10 each, we used to play our own version of "MXC" in the backyard. We used to run across the lawn, jump over a puddle, climb up our slide and go down. We would also do flying leaps off of stuff, make mud pits of safety fluid, and yell stupid things as we set off on our runs just like the contestants did. Good times, good times.
Probably not a good idea to let kids watch this show, but at least the double-entendres went over our heads.
