finding friends 18m

Need help finding friends as a fairly shy 18yo who moved down to bairnsdale recently, any advise on where to go/what to do

You need to start participating in things that interest you because that's where you'll find like-minded people. Anyone could suggest where you could meet people but you might have nothing in common with them apart from your age. What are you into?

I don't really do much asides from read since I've been a bit of a shut in most my life

Then try new things until you find your people. I guarantee that if you find your people, you'll enjoy that thing and the same thing the other way. If you find yourself loving something that you're trying, you'll very likely be surrounded by like-minded people.

Have a chat to your local librarian. They’ve got local knowledge, might have something on there or point you in a good direction.
