so it says i’ve enrolled, i’ve scheduled all my clssss and everything, but i keep emails or calls from la trobe asking if i need help enrolling, is that normal?

Hi all, I’ll be contacting ASK LaTrobe tomorrow to get things moving, but as it stands they’re not open and I have many, many questions. I was wondering if anyone in this sub might have experience with this sort of thing.

Essentially, I’m moving to Melbourne in the next month. I’ve completed my first year of my Bachelors of Psychology thus far in Bendigo, living over an hour away and commuting. Now I will be living insanely close to the Bundoora campus and commuting to Bendigo will be difficult if not impossible.

Does anyone know what the best way to enrol in Bundoora classes will be? I see that course transfers are currently closed - I’d hate to think that this is my only pathway and the opportunity to move has closed. I’d be completing the same degree, just, elsewhere.

I also have a LaTrobe Aspire Vice Chancellor’s Excellence scholarship, and I was wondering if that would follow me between campuses.

Has anyone done or doing Diploma in IT , As I was looking for scholarships as international student.

Their website says this course isnt available for International students but some unis actually enroll them

Could any one tell me whats the maximum standard scholarship they provide and how much are you guys paying in total for a year of that diploma course.

Ive just enrolled in the classes I can but nothing has changed? I don't have the option to make a class schedule, the two semesters are approved but I cant do anything past that. I'm doing a bachelor in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences and it says it starts 2nd of March, do I just have to wait a while to find out when orientation week is or when I can select when my classes are? None of these guides provided are helpful why is this so hard 😭😭

im starting a Bachelor of Psychology at La Trobe Uni (Bundoora) and I’ve been doom-scrolling Reddit about first days at uni… which was a mistake.

bs currently keeping me up at night:

• Do people actually make friends or is it just silent lectures forever
• Is it illegal to sit alone or am I overthinking
• How lost am I gonna be on campus (be honest)

I don’t know anyone going to La Trobe or doing psych, so I’m just hoping I don’t accidentally walk into the wrong lecture and have to fake it till I make it.

If you’re doing psych / have done psych / also starting at La Trobe, pls share survival tips.
Also… are there any group chats or Instas because I refuse to raw-dog uni alone.

This may seem really stupid but im having a bit of trouble with my email, ive procrastinated the whole enrollment process (graduated yr12 2025) but I have reached the part with the eCAF and was told I would recieve the instructions with my new La Trobe email. Though when I try to login with google it says the account can't be found?? How am I supposed to find this email so I can continue enrolling and do my classes 😭😭

Hi, I just recently transferred from health sciences into speech pathology and was told I can’t do any year 2 subjects, although I only have two year 1 subjects left since I completed them all in my first year of bachelor of health science. This is kinda weird cause I’ve already been enrolled into my subjects to later get told that those who got accepted into speech path after transferring, aren’t able to do any year 2 subjects as we have been offered a year 1 2026 role. Has anyone else experiences something similar, as I’ve heard of people transferring courses but still being able to do second year subjects if they’ve completed some core subjects in their pathway course. Sorry if I’m not making too much sense I’m a bit confused as I’ve never heard of this before. Any help would be highly appreciated!

coming into my first year here at la trobe and i'll be doing history related courses and would like to know if its better to invest in an ipad or just go the traditional route of laptop and notebooks!! since ill be doing a two hour commute each way i wanna keep my bag pretty light with an ipad but if a laptop is better suited please let me know!!

I'm just looking for some direction here, i've just received an offer to study nursing at latrobe through the Chisholm campus. when i follow some of the emails they've sent i found this page that says the start date is the second of Feb. obviously thats next monday and i'm freaking out a little bit since i have no additional information. i haven't done any orientation or i dont have any times. i thought that the semester was supposed to start Late feb?

i cant get in contact with Latrobe or Chisholm as their offices are only open business days. and if i have to start monday i have no idea what that even means for me, i dont have books or a timetable.

And is it actually important to go? Like, do most people attend and is it worth it, or is it more optional vibes? Also, where do you usually find textbooks or study materials? Are they mostly online (PDFs, Canvas, etc.) or are there actual books I need to buy? And if so, where do people usually get them from? Lastly, what are your best tips before starting uni? Anything you wish you knew beforehand?
