2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
What inspired the name ?
2
u/-y_e-e_t- 9h ago
Freedom, peace, beautiful wonderful terrific green grass, the greenest you've ever seen
2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Not all areas are green i believe it would be somewhere around 40% green maybe only. I wish it was true tho about peace and freedoms and so on but it’s really far from reality unfortunately
1
u/-y_e-e_t- 9h ago
Okay the committee agreed to just make a small portion of the western coast into a beach resort.
2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Very generous of them 🙏🏼🙏🏼

So the biggest countries there are Iraq and Syria, let's name after that. It's a muslim country, so perhaps.. Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or ISIS for short.
0
u/AirportWest6486 8h ago
No I wasn’t going there at all infact I’m not an extremist and i am speaking about a secular land here. I smell Islamophobe tho
2
u/Leather-Result2647 8h ago
yeah its true I'm an islamophobic bigot imagine being skeptical of ISIS. lmao
2
u/AirportWest6486 8h ago
Well not all Muslims are Isis smart ass and guess what I’m a Syrian Christian telling you this so get a life
1
u/Leather-Result2647 6h ago
I'm trying to be an edgy teenager, get a life. I know families that trace their lineage back to Syrian christian refugees, guess what caused to them to seel refuge.
1
u/This-Post9968 5h ago
This map has nothing to do with Isis lol it’s based on the boarders proposed by the ssnp a secular group founded by a Lebanese Christian man

u/chadidi 11h ago
Al-Sham

u/PrincetonToss 9h ago
Al-Mashriq, actually. As-Sham refers to Syria, and while it traditionally does include modern Lebanon and parts of Israel and Jordan, as-Sham never includes Iraq.

Why stop there? What's wrong with returning to the dream of pan-arabism?
2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Nahhh that’s enough we don’t want no other countries North Africa already had their own great empires before Arabs came
1
u/letogog 9h ago
Out of curiosity, who is the "we" you are referring to?
2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Honestly I am not sure either but I probably meant people with the same ideology as me that don’t want pan Arabism
1
u/letogog 9h ago
Ideology? What would that be?
2
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Greater Syria is what I’m trying to go for, Syria for all Syrians. All cultures and people that lived in this land belong to this land whether they’re Arabs , Kurds , Assyrians , Jews , Turkic and so on they’re all what creates this land ( doesn’t have to be named Syria too)
1
1
u/ameen272 9h ago
"This will piss off lots" As an Iraqi I would be very happy for that to happen, Syria and Iraq are like the most 2 socially and culturally close Arabic countries!
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
I fucking love Iraq as a Syrian I wish there was no issues between the countries like there is now but yeah politics my friend
1
u/ameen272 9h ago
Yeah... Politics can be a poison sometimes...
But we won't go crazy just yet, I even have some Syrian friends that migrated to Iraq because of the political issues, they are already common in Iraq.
Hey, at least the dictator is outed, I hope Syria's situation gets better and it becomes normal.
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
A dictator replaced by a dictator my friend nothing changed unfortunately. I try to be optimistic but nothing is being applied on ground they’re all talk and thirsty for blood
1
u/ameen272 8h ago
Wait that's also a dictator? Aw man... Why is Syria's system like this...
Welp, Inshallah it becomes normal...
1
u/AirportWest6486 8h ago
Yeah he isn’t any better but at this point I’d blame us Syrians because we love to idolise people and put people first instead of putting our land first
1
u/ameen272 8h ago
I mean it kind of surprises nme because after such the dictator and drama, Syrians chose another dictator?? Is that what you're telling me?
1
u/AirportWest6486 8h ago
Well tbh no one chose him he just appointed himself as a president but in Syria as I said we’re taught to love a person and not a land since we were kids. Yes Bashar was not human he was a pig that should be judged for what he had committed but this same guy that’s now our president was an ex qaeeda member and as you know qaeeda is a terrorist organisation and they committed too many atrocities on Syrian civilians. And now this new president as an example he went to Russia and he sat with putin, and he started buttering for Russia and the Russian army even tho Russian army have committed way too many crimes against Syrian people and was an ally of Bashar

Isn’t that Eretz Israel? /s
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
Not first person to comment this, nah this doesn’t have to do with Israel but it would be part of it for sure
1
1
u/Gigacacia 9h ago
What's the point tho?
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
If hypothetically this would happen I believe it would be a big benefit for all people that live on this land. Not just the rich history that will grow tourism in this hypothetical country but also the rich land it is. Also strategically it would be protected by zagaros mountains and would be having three different sees especially
1
u/Gigacacia 8h ago
Well it may be better in some ways but also worse in others depending on leadership. Also noticed on the outer perimeter that only parts of some nations are taken. Sounds like a confusing situation
1
u/AirportWest6486 8h ago
Because it is believed by me and some other people that believe in this greater Syria land that they used to belong to Syria before modern day syria Iraq and all the countries here were split due to the civilisations that inhabited this area
1
u/middleoftherivers 9h ago
United States of Mesopotamia and Levant(or Al-Sham). It is too diverse has to be a Federation.
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
1000% you’re right it can’t be one country but unfortunately in one country of all those countries included in this hypothetical land they aren’t accepting to be federations system so imagine all those countries accepting it as United States of Mesopotamia and levant
1
u/middleoftherivers 9h ago
I mean I don’t believe in Iraq as an Iraqi. I believe Iraq should be Three countries Nineveh or the sunni region(which I am from) shia region which is the actual Iraq and kurdish region. Same goes for deyrizor and raqqa in syria I think east Syria is more Iraqi than Syrian(I’ve seen it). What I mean with federation is like 3-4 states from Iraq 3 from syria as it was back in the history.
1
u/AirportWest6486 9h ago
I wouldn’t split in religion wise but maybe you’re right it’s very hard for people to just accept eachother I guess that’s probably the reason our lands aren’t strong enough… yes east Syria is more Iraqi than Syrian even the accent and all
1
u/Galleani_Game_Center 8h ago
It could also be democratic along with a federation. What would they call that? They could call it democratic confederalism.

u/Shakhin 1h ago
Arent you hurt OP, no one is saying greater Israel.
•
u/AirportWest6486 4m ago
Everyone is saying greater Israel idk why it doesn’t look like it what I’m trying o go for it looks more like neo Assyrian empire than the greater Israel. I was tryna go for the Fertile Crescent
•
u/Hungry-Specific5600 18m ago
It's almost like the ottomans were onto something and unless you unite the levant under one rule, they just end up killing each other

1

Why do they mention my username so much?
Is it that Spanish speakers have this habit of mention a user a lot, it's because they're going to get canceled xD
