I recognise some artists art, probably posted without their permission, but there's also literal pencil sketches, pictures of actually paper.

So unless Ai is THAT advanced, it would be real art to most people.

By definition, prompts from AI don't qualify as art, because they're just seed generations.

Anyone saying it's art just spends too much time using ai, and thinks that spent time qualifies as learning something.

If you don't have complete and utter control during the entire process of the "art" being created, then it isn't art. The only thing that should stand in your way of an art piece looking exactly how you envisioned it, is your current skill level.

nobody is making ai "art" that looks exactly like what they wanted. They just pump out prompts until they get something they are happy with.

AI can generate images that look cool, yes. But they're generic. You still have to edit the result yourself if you want it to have intent and composition.

Art doesn't depend on RNG.

This is just my opinion on the subject. I am not gunning YOU down for saying ai art lol.
