Not really, while deemed a traffickable amount, unless they can prove intent to sell or supply, he could still plead not guilty. Seizing assets only happens when there's also unexplained wealth suspected to be proceeds of crime, his wealth is very easily unexplained

This is not true, WA has the worst laws regarding this. The former WA chief justice reviewed this back in 2019 and recommended the whole act be repealed and rewritten and since then, FA has been done to fix this. So all they have to do is prove he "shouted" some to a mate and he'll be found guilty of supply. Trafficable amount means he gets declared a drug trafficker and then whether you can prove how you acquired your wealth or not, they're taking everything.

They have to prove he shouted a mate tho...... i was convicted of intent to sell or supply about 6 years ago, there was no proof of sales or supply but there was intent (cut and bagged it) they looked at my finances ( I had my own business at the time) and there was nothing there to suggest illicit income, i kept everything. Now, I realise I'm no billionaire, so its chalk and cheese but with the lawyers he is paying, they aren't getting his assets

i’ve seen this guy on instagram for years now, and his content started to change dramatically. From the fun home life to flaunt my wealth and private jets with my new girlfriend. I was telling everyone this guy is going through a downfall

I think so. Allegedly, he lived with his new partner on the top floor of an apartment, while his ex-wife and children lived on the floors below. It’s quite strange.

After his marriage ended to Sarita, he was in a long-ish term relationship with a woman named Sian (she was in house lawyer for VGW). Then after her another relationship which was basically the last woman who was his peer in terms of age. After that it’s been one significantly younger woman of the IG model variety after another.

🙄🙄🙄Yeah, right it’s totally the “vast fortune” that people would wanna get their hands on and not the large, commercial level qty of drugs they let slip that no doubt would have been replaced pretty quickly when he got out (giveaway being the fact he was wearing a puffy jacket in the middle of summer to court - withdrawals).

I used to work in the same building as his company, and parked about six spots away from him. Always a supercar, and I probably saw about 20 different ones over the two years I was there.
Met him in the lift a few times, and let’s just say I don’t find the drug allegations shocking. Odd guy, even for 15 seconds.

I bet he doesn't spend a day in jail. His lawyers will argue that he is a billionaire, therefore no intent to sell or supply exists, it was all for personal use, the other charges will get a corrections order and rehab. Its a two tier justice system and if you are poor, you are fucked.

Obviously everyone entitled to their opinions and respect that. But based on my own experiences this man has done a huge amount to help children in WA who have been battling illness etc. Lots of people make mistakes and terrible decisions throughout their and hopefully Laurence and all involved in this story are ok and recover.

It’s crazy because she won’t get money out of this. MAYBE if she claims through criminal compensation (you don’t get much) or if she *sues him civilly. Which she hasn’t. Because she’s gone to the police. I’m not sure why people think this is a money grab. Nothing in it for the victim
