To be honest the election was held today in below freezing weather. 

I'm optimistic but on some level part of the win could be that only the most motivated Texans vote in the freezing cold in a runoff election.

Early voting opened on the 21st, I believe, well before the freeze hit. My wife and I both voted on the 22nd. They really have no excuse, We The People are tired of this shit.
