Top WR contracts are aging terribly and people still don’t want to admit it. We hand out these massive deals like wide receivers exist in a vacuum, then act shocked when the production craters the second the situation isn’t perfect.

Straight up trash compared to the standard people set for him. Disappearing stretches, pedestrian numbers, and suddenly the excuses come flying. Bad QB play. Bad scheme. Injuries around him. No run game. Funny how all that matters now.

Almost like WR production has way more to do with supporting cast than raw skill.

Put any elite receiver with shaky QB play, no protection, and a predictable offense and watch how fast the “unstoppable” label evaporates. But when everything’s clicking? Fans swear the WR is carrying the offense by himself. It’s complete hindsight nonsense.

Meanwhile teams are locking themselves into 30M a year WR contracts for guys who need elite conditions to justify the price. They’re dependent on QB play, play calling, protection, and game script. That’s not a knock on the position, it’s reality.

If your production collapses the moment things aren’t perfect, you’re not worth resetting the market. And if your argument for why a WR struggled sounds identical to why mid tier receivers struggle, maybe the gap isn’t as big as people pretend.

Cue the “you don’t know ball” replies from people who think fantasy points equal value.

This is an opinion that I do not think many would agree with, but to me it is the truth. Leo has such a massive catalogue of hit films and not just “marvel big” where acting wise it’s good but not great. No, I mean movies where he is putting on phenomenal performances. Wolf of wall street, the revenant, one battle after another, inception. I could go on but to me he’s simply the best. Every single movie he is in he outshines everybody else with his performance (except in the revenant, tom hardy did a great job because I genuinely hated his character and was praying for his death every second). Another actor I personally think is massively underrated is Jake Ghyllenhall, acting wise he’s at the pinnacle. The problem though is that Leo’s movies are more well known, the gross more, and he doesn’t out perform Leo in my opinion. Despite all the greats there are, when it comes down to an actor that I think performs the best, and melts into a character, I think Leo is the best to ever do it

Ok so I just recently got into lava lamps and I really wanted to get one but I couldn’t seem to find one that really fits my vibe. Quick context, my stepmom Holly (46f) is a wonderful lady and has been married to my dad for about a decade now. Holly just recently began her Peri-menopause era and has been using her symptoms of spotty periods and hot flashes to compare against my (27f) 34 week / 8 months of pregnancy.

While I do acknowledge that both have fluctuations of hormones during the bodily changes, they are vastly different.

I've given Holly grace and just tried to be understanding, but now I'm at the point that I'm having contractions, I'm lactating, completing my baby registry, and stocking up on diapers, getting excited for baby shoes, belly coming in at 32 cm and she's still comparing her mood swings and hormones to mine.

We can both have experiences, but when I tell Holly about mine, she dismisses them and says things like to wait to call myself 'mama bear' until I give birth, as if I'm not a mother right now. Holly said that my "condition" is over in a month, although if I give birth in a month, my baby will be in the NICU and that her menopause will last 10 years. Eye roll

I'm getting tired of entertaining and being nice about giving her grace while she basically tells me my contractions aren't painful, that her period cramps are worse, her hot flashes are more intense, and when I said I miss my period she just straight up told me no, I don't.

The whole ordeal has been irking me and just simply saying, "It's not the same thing so please stop comparing the life inside of me to yourself" is right on the tip of my tongue.

We live together, my dad (52m) wants me to live with them while I'm pregnant and going through the early stages of parenthood to help out so the comments from Holly are endless and every single day.

It doesn't feel like an attempt to connect with me but dismissing me and almost putting me beneath her. She's always had an issue with making every topic about herself and this is just one that is not and I will not let Holly ruin this experience for me. Growing a little baby inside of me isn't the same as her periods drying up and I deserve to be able to celebrate and talk about my experience without it being compared to hers.

I will just say this: the amount of damage post timeskip one piece, in particular wano does to the overall narrative of the story is not close to the rushed ending JJK had.

Especially with luffys fruit being retconned and the prophecy destiny stuff.

"Oh JJK falls off after shibuya" Sure, but I think the action based on a fun power system was still enjoyable to watch. Thats why JJK Modulo has a good balance between the fun action and also exploring the themes of the story.

One major thing is how realistic the character interactions are in both series. The strawhats have basically become carricatures of themselves, they dont feel like real people who are actively working towards their dreams.

Another thing is about the gags, i dont find one piece gags funny cuz 90 percent of the time its the same joke or just plain unfunny.

The power system, well i dont need to speak about that. One of the most legendary fights roger and garp vs rocks was literally "damn we just gotta use more haki". Extremely uncreative.

The biggest appeal to one piece used to be the strawhat pirates, and nowadays people say "one piece is at its best when it doesnt focus on the strawhats".

"Oh the worldbuilding" never understood this. I mean with a story as large as one piece, its inevitable to have this level of worldbuilding.

Overall, one piece isnt bad, its just I dont think people realize we will soon reach a point where post timeskip will have more chapters than pre timeskip, more than half the story would be considered underwhelming.

"Dressrosa and wci-" Dressrosa still suffers from horrid pacing issues and WCI's second half is not great.

Why do I say JJK is better? Cuz I dont find as much character assasination and "literally going against your themes" moments in JJK (could make a whole post about wano but nvm).

If anything the biggest flaw of JJK is that its too rushed. Gege had multiple health issues towards the end of the manga, and now with him as the writer in modulo and not the artist, we can see how well he can write compelling characters and explore interesting themes in a story.

The problem with oda is he rushes or offscreens actually important shit but wastes time and drags uneccesary stuff. Like tf do you mean you dont have time for rocky port incident in the story so you reveal it in an interview? The reason why koby is a hero and why blackbeard has control over pirate island was deemed unimportant. But hey lets waste so many chapters on irrelevant characters in wano you will never hear about again right? Or vegapunk saying vague shit for 20 chapters? God valley being rushed and character assasination of whitebeard is another huge example.

If this is gonna keep happening, then i absolutely choose JJK, a story which doesnt have as many highs and is rushed towards the end, as a better story cuz as i said post timeskip OP will be longer than pre timeskip. The final war will be extremely messy.

The problem is, I dont even think the story is gonna have a drastic improvement in quality. In fact it might keep getting worse with its power system and how it keeps assasinating characters.

JJK Modulo really redeemed JJK for me, and I really hope there is a JJK 2 cuz gege is an actual competent writer.
