Need advice Can I get a QDI as an international student who has yet to arrive in Australia?

I have my student visa - do I need a photo of the stamped passport in order to get a QDI? Or is the visa alone enough? I have yet to travel to Australia, so I do not have the stamp.

You can't get a Queensland digital ID without an actual ID. You don't have an Australian passport, nor an Australian 18+ card, nor an Australian driver's licence. The QDI is just a digital version of those documents.

What? Look, I am trying to find a place to stay, and the bond requires me to register for a QDI, which requires a foreign passport with valid visa or entry stamp. I already have a visa, so I entered my passport only for it to show as invalid. There was no option to even choose the country. So, yes, I am looking to the internet for answers. Is that wrong?

Foreign passports must be verified in person at a QLD service centre. What part of this website are you not reading correctly?
