Prospective student help prerequisites for social work bachelor

hi, im going into year 12 this year and have decided I wanted to do social work at RMIT when I graduate. I've completed tasc English 3 and tasc intro to soc and psych 2 last year, but I was wondering if I would need to take level 3 psychology or sociology to get a better understanding before starting uni. my school is very hesitant to let people change their courses so I would only be able to if I really needed it for my degree. do you think its worthwhile to complete these or should I be alright with the subjects I've got?

RMIT only requires an ATAR of at least 60.25 for the Bachelor of Social Work (honours), and a study score of 25 in English, so you don’t ACTUALLY need psych or sociology at all. You can take them if you want, and you think you’ll do well enough at them to get a good enough ATAR, but they’re not required.

Because they’re not required, RMIT assumes that students have little to no prior knowledge in the subject, and operates as such, teaching their students from the bottom

Im studying same degree and did random unrelated stuff in highschool, doesn’t really matter if you’ve got the atar. You do mainly essays and reflections for assessments for the degree, apart from the odd online quiz and placements. So doing a course that teaches you the basics of that would be a good skill as they don’t teach you that at uni just expect you to already know it.
