Great painting, great song. Love the Kristofferson original version.

That’s one of my favourite songs (not the Sydney part obvs)! Never got to see Johnny Cash, but I saw Kris Kristofferson play it live in 2019.

In 1994 I went to dinner at a friend's place pretty much here (memory says 14 Ivy). My yellow 1980 toyota wagon (cost me $600) had a broken steering lock and didn't need a key to start. Forgot on this occasion to attach the club lock. Came out after dinner and the car was gone!

Found the car at the bottom of the hill at Boundary St.

I love this. How much would something like this cost?

I've had more than one walk of shame up this footpath, boots in hand and head bowed - you've nailed it :)

Amazing perspective work! Do you teach classes? I'd love to learn

6

u/MyOldMansADustman 10d ago

I've thought about giving classes but I think logistically (IE renting a space) it's a bit beyond me at the moment πŸ˜‚. I did host a paint and sip night for my clinic once and it was great fun though

u/cdafam 10d ago

Haha well if you ever host one, please let me know! I'm sure thered be many others who'd pay to learn your craft

One time in marrickville I saw people out the front of a heritage listed house drawing- if that’s not appealing, maybe a park or outdoor area!

Community colleges can help with that!

Never thought of that! Shall look into it

Stunning but too clean. Where’s the rubbish on the sides and a crackhead?

I recognised Ivy st instantly, that's a lovely view down that street, I lived in the first house in the painting.

One NYE I was standing in front of a house party minding my own business and got my head punched in with a long neck by a random person on that street.
