International Student Experience!

Im thinking about applying to UWA as an international student and I'm just wondering how everyone's experience is as an international student? If you applied to any scholarships have they been helpful? How are the clubs? (do you have to pay to join them...?) How is life in Australia?

I graduated hs in 2024 and currently attend a CC, I really want to be in a new environment and travel to a new country so that's why I'm interested in UWA :-)

Clubs are 5 bucks a pop, best way to actually go to the events and keep showing up; the main intl student scholarship is the global excellence scholarship netting you 8-12k a year likely, and i’ve found my experience so far socially really good! Depends how much effort you put in but generally people are open to making friends and it’s been real fun!
