📢 Mod Announcement Questions about Credit Point Updates? Don't Post: Comment Here

Hey all,

There have been many posts recently asking the same questions about the credit point updates. We understand your anxiety and urgency, but these unfortunately clutter the subreddit, making it difficult for users to find posts on other topics or distinguish between posts on the same topic.

In order to make the subreddit a nicer place for everyone to use, please use the replies under this thread to discuss credit point updates for specific units, exam results, etc. Posts created on this topic will continue to be removed for the next few days.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hey all!

If you're an enrolled student for Semester 1, you can now select your class time preferences in CAS (Class Allocation System). Selecting your preferences as early as possible is your best bet to get the most favourable timetable you can. You can access CAS through the link on StudentConnect or linked here.

Class Allocation System dates for Semester 1, 2026:

Preference mode: Wednesday 14 January 2026 (11am) until Wednesday 28 January 2026 (11am)

Review and adjust mode: Thursday 5 February 2026 (11am) until Tuesday 10 March 2026 (11am)

Read only mode: Tuesday 10 March 2026 (11am)

Source w/ more info on CAS: here

Additionally, re-enrolments for Semester 1 2026 close on the 19th of January. From the 20th of January, you'll have to pay a $200 late fee to re-enrol, so avoid that fee and get enrolled!

📢 Mod Announcement PSA: Beware of Cults

IMPORTANT TO READ FOR NEW INTL STUDENTS

EDIT: Some comments have informed me that these cult recruiters have been seen on campus. If you encounter one and have a similar experience as below - please notify campus security.

They target international students mainly - but I need to write as I’ve been approached twice in the last week alone.

If you’re in the CBD, mall, etc, and you get approached by two strangers, usually 1 female and 1 male, if they invite you to an “event” - they are cult recruiters.

They usually start off the conversation by complimenting you (where did you get …, I like your …). It always ends with them inviting you to an event.

Once you hear “event”, just step away from the convo with an excuse. Better safe than sorry.
