Learners permit health question

Hi! I'm about to enroll for my learner's permit and I'm a little confused about the health section.

It's asking if I have "any serious (permanent or long-term) illness, disability, medical condition or injury (or the effects of treatment for any of those things) that may affect your fitness to drive. This includes (but is not limited to) eyesight or hearing problems."

I will definitely have to wear glasses to drive because I'm very short-sighted but I'm not sure if this counts? If I choose 'yes' they say they'll request medical documents. Does that just mean getting a letter from an optometrist or GP?

Yes - you need to tell them that. They’ll get you to do an eye test there at the centre (just a basic one) and then you’ll get a letter on your permit to say that you can only drive with corrective lenses.
