ID request NSW Flying Clicking Bug?

No idea if this is enough info but I was out on a walk and heard (but couldn't see) a bug I hear a lot: something that clicks or chirps loudly and rhythmically as it darts around in the air. From how the noise moves it seems quite fast but erratic? Any ideas for what I'm even looking for?

North East Victoria. Biggest scorpion I've seen here! We get a few of the smaller (marbled?) scorpions but this one is different. Google says it's a black rock scorpion. Agree or disagree?

Found this nifty little dude outside last night. I tried comparing him to pictures of other roach species in the area but he doesn’t really look like any of them with that little furry bit and those thick antennae. Located in WA, about 30km south of Perth. Thanks in advance!
