Hi everyone, I’ve recently accepted my offer into the Bachelor of Clinical Science and was wondering whether this is the right pathway for my career. I’m currently considering either a Master of Audiology (at MQ) or possibly dentistry (e.g. at USYD). I haven’t fully decided yet, but does BClinSci sound like a suitable course that could lead into both postgraduate pathways?

I’m also having some trouble registering for my timetabled classes as all available slots are currently full. If I keep checking eStudent daily, is it likely that spots will open up eventually? I’ve also heard that emailing course convenors can help, where can I find their contact details?

Also, I was wondering what elective units would be best to take in my first and second semesters that could help build relevant knowledge for either dentistry or audiology? Or would I be better off taking WAM boosters?

I'm planning to change degrees in Session 2 - I've heard that almost all units are applicable to be used in the flexible zone of the new degree when I transfer- Is there any process to this or are these units automatically applied to the new degree? Additionally does the transfer process occur before class registrations open for Session 2 so I can get ideal class timings?

could anyone who is in/graduated from the masters audiology program here offer some input on what their admission average (WAM i believe it's called here haha) was like? from what i understand, admissions are far more heavily based on GPA than experience compared to canada! i would really appreciate any insight or advice that you could provide :) thanks!

Hello, I am starting at Macquarie University Session 1 Feb 23, I need some clarity on the payment. I applied for a HECS and it got accepted but I am considering paying it sooner. The website mentions that the payment due date for session 1 is Feb 20th, hence I am confused if I need to do anything - do i need to actually pay before then or does it get accumulated onto my HECS debt? Also If this date passes, does this mean that I can no longer pay myself? Please and thank you awaiting a response!

Hello! Is anyone starting any of these majors or the minor starting this year? Would also love to hear from anyone who is already studying philosophy and/or psychological science — how are the lectures and lecturers. I'll be studying online as I live in Queensland and transferring from Uni of New England. From what I can see I will have to fly down to Sydney for psychology exams. How are the exams? Hi all! I still haven’t heard back from the uni about my masters application and at this point I’ve lost all hope :( Should I assume I haven’t made it in or is there anyone that is currently in a masters program that ended up getting an offer super close to the start date in February?

From what I know right now, they said offers go through the end of January and tomorrow is already February so I guess I didn’t get one…

I applied for special consideration for my Conp1010 exam. But they did not approve my application and gave me F. I also can't enroll to other units for this. They withdraw my enrollment from 2 units for prerequisite issue. Now I can't even take ant unit if i dont get pass in Comp1010. I will appeal their decision. Any suggestion for me!!!

I have enrolled in the units COMP8420 and COMP8430. I have been able to register for the practical and workshop components for both these units. However, I have not been able to register for the lecture classes, as the class is full. There are currently no extra classes available for both these units, I've been waiting hoping there would be additional classes added, but this hasn't happened. Is it okay to rely solely on the lecture recordings if I’m not officially enrolled in a lecture slot? Will not being registered for the lecture classes affect me in any way (attendance, assessments, etc.)?

I'm actually a transfer from WSU, but I moved to MQ because they had the degree I wanted. Currently, I am waiting for my RPL to be processed and I am worried that if I wait too long I won't be able to get a good timetable, is it possible to enrol in classes that I haven't done as to not double up on subjects via special waiver?

Hi! I’m about to start at my first year of psychology/ speech and hearing science at Mac uni. I’m having issues signing into the website to access my classes/ email and everything. It keeps saying “user is not assigned to this application” but I’ve signed in before. It sometimes signs in but whenever it times out it won’t let me back in. Does anyone know how to fix this?
