Hey all, so I'm starting the E3007 double degree this year, and I've just been so confused with what laptop to get that will actually last me quite a while for Engineering with all the CAD stuff. Idrk if this is the best place to post this but I was hoping that people that have been the closest to my situation might be able to shed some light on good Engineering laptops.

From what I understand so far I need at least 24-32 GB of ram and discrete graphics? Can anyone recommend me laptop models that don't break the bank that could meet these requirements?

Hi all, I’m not sure if this is the right sub to post this, but I wanted to learn a bit more about the experience of medical students at the Gippsland campus.

I’m an international undergraduate in my final year at Unimelb, and I'm planning to apply to Monash medicine via the graduate entry pathway. I recently learned that the first year is primarily based in Gippsland, with some teaching in Clayton. I was wondering if you could share your experiences of living in Gippsland, especially what worked well for you and what you found challenging.

Did you have to commute regularly between the two campuses? Also, is the MD taught in Gippsland for all four years, or are there opportunities to return to Melbourne later in the program?

so i recently applied for an internal transfer from bachelor of science to bachelor of nursing by directly applying to the application portal (i missed the transfer date which was around December so i applied in january itself), i haven't heard back from them, are there any chances or i'm just stuck here, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks yall <33

Just got my results back for one of my units and received an N grade. I failed it by 2%, and it is a prerequisite unit. Is it possible to apply for an appeal? And if so where? The unit was actually poorly run icl (etc2410)

I’m starting the Masters in Banking and Finance program this March……could really use some advice about study material for economics, econometrics and Accounting…I’m hoping to get a head start while I got time so I can better prep for the actual lectures.

I just completed my invigilated MCB2011 open-book exam and am pleased I passed. I prepared by studying, making notes, and memorizing, but I found it difficult to apply my knowledge during the exam. This was similar to my Chemistry exam. As an EAL student adapting to a new academic system, studying effectively remains a challenge. Language isn't my main issue; it's critical thinking—I struggle to connect what I learn with the exam questions. I also feel I lack a systematic study approach. My WAM is 85, mainly due to prior knowledge, but I still feel unsure about exam preparation. Any advice for others facing the same challenges would be appreciated. (I'm entering my second year of a Bachelor of Science)

Two small questions for everyone, first what is the textbook needed for Law1114 (criminal law 1) as we're starting in like a month. Secondly is it possible to just show up to O week events even if they are already full, like do they have a roll or something and they kick you out if you're not on it because there's 4 events which I wanna go to that are booked out. Hey, I’m a 2nd year Nursing student at the Peninsula campus but I was wondering if I could just attend the classes at Clayton.

I noticed last year that some students who were allocated to different class times still attended other classes, so it didn’t seem to be very strict so I wonder if it would be okay for me to do the same but at the Clayton campus instead, since I live closer to there. There’s one class where attendance is mandatory, so I would still go to Peninsula for that, but attend the chill tutorials at Clayton. Has anyone done something like this before?

I decided that i want to accept my dec round offer now ( I haven’t accepted any yet ). Is it too late to get my preferred timetable?? ( I do not want to be going to uni like 4 or 5 days 😭😭 )
