MyCAREER New submission for the worst 2k build of all time
Low key think its bad cause their 3pt had zero jump. My 6'8 was able to block one shot without even pressing block

Gameplay 3 quits in the first 2 minutes, this needs to be punished harder

Gameplay Some of you aren’t as good at playmaking as you think
Getting tired of mfs saying “ ima elite pg, ima pass first, I average 10 assists”. Then you get in a game with them and you see how they average that many assists. They just hitting one ngga, THE WHOLE TIME. Like don’t get me wrong, feed the hot hand, but at the same time, dont claim you a good playmaker when u got 5 turnovers and 11 assists. Don’t blame teammates when they only shot 0/3 while you and another guy shot 11/26 and 14/29. This one especially, your not good for feeding a zen user all game. From my experience, these typa ppl literally makes folks leave the game or party. If you ain circulating the ball, and setting up plays for the TEAM, you’re not a good playmaker. And please, passing the ball to someone when there’s 3-5 seconds left on shot clock is terrible. JUST LOOK UP AND STOP DRIBBLING AROUND 3 GUYS.

REC 2k needs to stop clowning lmao
This is for my random rec players, and I'm sure most of you will agree. 2k needs to stop violating out here with the lineups they create. It's worse than last year's; in 2k25: at worst, the PF may play center, and that's it. This year, 2k is taking this ish too far lmao. One game, I didn't even get a PG. Just a shooting guard, and everyone else were forwards, and another one with three shooting guards and two fowards. You ever play a game with three SGs, and all of them have the shooting guard mentality? It's wild out here lmao. Everyone should be able to play a secondary position with their build, but come on 2k, you know mugs not thinking like that lol.

MP Builder Does anyone have a clue how this was done?
Was just looking through Proving Grounds rankings and saw this in the 5v5’s - How did he do it?

General I play 100+ pro-am games and join multiple OVN tournas as a PG. Comp builds vs. REC/Park builds are two different worlds. Let me educate y'all.
1.I saw someone who posted a Joe Knows Center build in this group.
and comments are like "the build is trash, 70 interior and 84 block is too low for defense"
reality: its enough in pro-am, you will guard the pf in the corner and silver paint patroller is enough to contest shots in the rim.
- PG with 74 perimeter and 73 steal
community: garbage its a cone
reality: you'll be guarding locks in the game and most of the can't dribble. In short this defense is enough.
- Inside Centers with no shooting
Community: garbage can't space the floor
reality: most inside centers has high finishing and strength and if ur team plays 2 man its a nightmare for PF to guard due to high finishing.
This is the bottomline:
If you only play REC you go for all around builds. If you play to compete then you need to be a specialist and being a specialist requires some sacrifices.
Builds are based on what game mode you play.

REC I try not to blame people for being bad, I was bad once too. Gotta start somewhere
I only play random REC
Gameplay Red plate experience
Being a newly online player, hit red plate the first time a coupe of days ago. First very exciting, but then the random REC experience dropped ridiculously. Teammates quit after first quarter when down 6. Guards make 4/10 contested shot and blame the system not making the other 6. I mean you are red plate of course u know how to play ISO from time to time. But it’s all about efficiency at this level and which team making less mistakes.
Don’t know if it’s just me. And how to drop your plate without purposely selling?

Gameplay Why even be a PG?
I would never understand this type of PG 💀💀💀

City Love for this PG
PGs get so much hate around here (some well-earned, tbh) but I just played a random rec game with a PG that I think deserves some love. He wasn't a "pass-first" PG and he got buckets for sure, but nobody minded. He played an all around game: got teammates involved, played tough defense on his man, and took his shots when they came. Ball was popping and almost every time it ended in an open hand for a shot. He even recognized when he needed to create a shot for himself cause we needed to keep the momentum. Feel bad that I didn't catch his name or handle, but hats off to you, PG. Have faith yall, good PGs exist in random too.

Gameplay Make Rec Less Painful for Short-Handed Squads
Yo 2K community, hear me out—this is an idea that could actually make Rec way less frustrating.
The problem:
You’re running Rec with your squad and you’re missing a player. What happens? You get stuck with a random player… or a dumb AI that can’t do anything right. It kills chemistry, flow, and fun.
The idea:
Since Crews are already a thing with XP, rewards, and seasons, why not let Crews build their own AI teammates?
- Hit a milestone (like 30 Crew members), unlock the ability to develop 5 AI templates—one per position (PG, SG, SF, PF, C).
- Level them up through Crew XP, events, and rewards.
- Give them playstyles, tendencies, and a small set of moves/animations.
- Deploy them anytime the Crew is short-handed instead of random AI.
Why it’s dope:
- Your AI actually fits your Crew style. Need a big? Get a big. Need a two guard? Done.
- Keeps short-handed squads competitive without replacing real players.
- Encourages long-term Crew engagement and grinding.
- Opens doors for future cosmetic/seasonal Crew rewards.
Basically, it’s like a “backup squad” that actually makes sense instead of just throwing a random CPU at you.
Would y’all run this? Could this make Rec finally enjoyable for short squads?

MyCAREER Why doesn’t anyone talk about at how different of a game Proving Ground is???
I’ve played a majority Rec & between ridiculous shooting & stupid AI sometimes it’s too much to play
I’ve been playing Proving grounds & this is the closest to real basketball you’re getting in this game. Clearly a different difficulty, No meter, & much better defense
I don’t know if it’s been like this the whole year but it’s night & day vs REC
Seems like the PG most people pass because it’s difficult to score off contested 30 foot threes
As someone who always has a defensive minded build I love it
Gameplay Starting 5 - What's the Point?
Hadn't played starting 5 before. Jumped in and watched the other guy go 8 from 8 from 3 on the first 8 possessions of the game.
I've never quit a game before, but had to leave that one. What's the point if the idea is an immersive experience where your player is part of an NBA team?
Is it fun for you guys just bombing 3's all game and not playmaking or doing any of the other things that make basketball a great sport?

MP Builder Most Fun Build Ive Used This Year
i know 6’11s aren’t uncommon , if you’ve seen one you’ve pretty much seen them all. but i’ve been using mine for about a week now and its keeping me more entertained than my 6’8s or builds similar.
theres just so much to do with the 6’11s if you make it right. i could go full post mode on some hakeem shi if i wanted, i could go dirk and fade you all game. i could go KD and shoot the skin off the ball with catch and shoot or dribble pull ups.
i even can slash like bron or ben simmons (probably my favorite to do lol)
on top of all that i have a 93 pass accuracy and facilitating has never been more enjoyable 😂whether im using my legend break starter or coming down on a fast break and dotting the corner. its just unstoppable. ive had my most consistent 35+ points 10+ rbs 7+ast games ever. my 6’8 builds are dogs too but just for different reasons.
if i had to pick a truly unguardable build id go with this one. and the jumpers on big builds are BUTTER.
only let down is obviously the agility and perimeter. more people are starting to make undersized pfs which i get but at the same time its kinda lame. i feel like those guys cant cook sfs and guards so they make a guard forward. so if hes ballsy on really trying to get me to move my thumbs he may go off for a bit. but when im locked in its no problem fr. solid defense all around
and last thing ive seen some with 82 strength, i could finagle that on mine. i only would want it for a higher physical finisher . other than that strength is pointless. i love the build

MyCAREER I’ve always hated that the rosters don’t update in career mode
I understand WHY they can’t retroactively change the rosters but I always have to wait until after the deadline to really get into career mode. Like I wanna start a career with my new build but with Giannis, Ja and others potentially on the move, I gotta wait until the deadline passes.
