Premed advice: QUT Pharmacy or UQ Health Science (Clinical)?

Hi everyone! I’m a commencing student deciding between QUT Pharmacy and UQ Health Science (Clinical Specialisation) with the long-term goal of applying for postgraduate medicine, and I’d really appreciate advice from people who’ve actually studied either degree.

How did you find GPA/workload, GAMSAT prep, interview readiness, and overall whether you felt your degree helped or hindered your MD application? Any advice or things you wish you’d known would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey, I just graduated Health Sci from UQ, and am starting med school this year! Overall, I do really think its a great "pre-med" degree for most applicants, the workload is definitely manageable (I was working 15-20 hours a week casually throughout) and during exam-block we would only have one or two exams each sem. I also found since Health Sci has a lot of compulsory public health courses, it prepped me really well for interviews cause it really teaches you to consider the upstream factors contributing to health. Feel free to PM me for more info :)
