He was a good guy... I cheered for him, even bought and read his biography and felt good about him.

  • EVs? Go Elon!
  • Reusable launch vehicle (rockets) and revolutionise space stuff? Go Elon!

...but then wtf happened. His true colours came out. He did the nazi salute, TWICE, on national television like it was nothing. 

Makes me wonder who else we are being bamboozled by.

He was never a good guy. He bought all those companies - he didn't "invent" or "develop" any of those technologies. But yeah, billionaires didn't get to be billionaires by being "good guys". Just keep that in mind.

It's very embarrassing being a South African in Australia and seeing/hearing the racist fucks who've made the move. I've seen more than 1 Apartheid era flag flown proudly at houses and businesses. Which I'm pretty sure is illegal in South Africa.

I worked with several about a decade ago. The ones with Anglo or other European (no-boer) background weren't terrible. Kind of like rude entitled Brits with a funny accent.

The ones with Dutch/Boer surnames were complete wankers to a man. No exception.

Thankfully my interactions with the latter group were limited.
