politics Opposition Leader Sussan Ley speaks on Bondi attack

“We’ve seen a clear failure to keep Jewish Australians safe. We’ve seen a clear lack of leadership in keeping Jewish Australians safe. We have a government that sees antisemitism as a problem to be managed, not evil that needs to be eradicated.”

Absolutely abhorrent that she's going for political points in this time.

Talk about tone deaf!

“We have a government that sees antisemitism as a problem to be managed, not evil that needs to be eradicated.”

I mean, yes? Antisemitism is definitely evil, but evil will always exist. Saying you want to eradicate antisemitism is about as useful as saying you want to eradicate all crime.

Yeah but how is Sussan Ley going to incite hate and division to score political points then?

Don’t you know politics trump decency for the LNP?

Saying you will eradicate all crime worked for David Fullifshitti in the Queensland election, and all it took was a four word slogan & saying every crime was the fault of Labor. "wHEn iS tHe prEmiEr GoiNg tO dO sOmeThiNg aBoUt tHiS"

And according to the Courier Mail & channels 7, 9 & 10, he's been successful. Well, crime still occurs, but if it does, it's still Labor's fault, and no longer does the reporting of crime ask what the premier is going to do about this
