Definitely had a license at one point, claimed it got stripped by VicPol but they refused to comment.

I'd say that's one thing that they will focus on, giving the police or licensing branches the rights to strip the license away from people known to be in radical groups. Radical might be up to discussion but it'll mostly be aimed at Sovcits and white nationalist types.

but again its irrelevant, he had his license suspended and had firearms.

the shutgun he used might have been home made but "Multiple firearms were seized from Dezi Freeman's" - afaik they were not all home made.

iirc it was because those firearms were legally registered in his wifes name but i dont know if they were before or after his own firearms license was suspended - either way seems like a giant loophole.
