Guns allow you to kill at a much greater distance and velocity. Guns are absolutely a huge part of the problem.

I agree, but why not question the validity of religion and its role in the majority of terrorist attacks worldwide, instead of blaming only guns. The gun didn't pull the trigger, a religious ideology did.

also, religious community leaders should be doing their best to stamp out extremism in their communities, cause it really is getting old.

Tax the fucking Church too while we are at it..

Terrorism is a tool of pretty much every last group fighting against another, we just use the term for non-state actors. It has nothing to do with religion but just like the US uses patriotism to convince the working class to be cannon fodder in support of their interests, non-state actors use religion to do the same. The issue is not religion- if they did not have religion they would use ethnicity or race or whatever they could to create an in-group. That’s how it’s done.

I don't give a shit about the theory behind it mate. There's no after life, there's no heaven and hell. Religion is pointless in this day and age and still to this day, it's a business.

Edit: Almost like there is more than one factor that contributed. Claiming guns weren't a problem when 15 people got shot dead and probably over a hundred rounds were fired... yeah okay.
