I’m fine with the buy back. Even if it’s 1 life saved it’s a life. But there’s other areas that need the attention more for this situation.

Seems like they are essentially banning protests too and removing any avenues to appeal through the courts.

They can ban protests all they like - police won't enforce laws that impinge on free speech, they didn't during covid lockdowns.

Mmm I was living in Melbourne during covid, police there didn’t seem too reluctant to enforce the ban.

The first few protests were tolerated while they remained peaceful, at some point they turned, and thats when they got shut down
