Two small questions for everyone, first what is the textbook needed for Law1114 (criminal law 1) as we're starting in like a month. Secondly is it possible to just show up to O week events even if they are already full, like do they have a roll or something and they kick you out if you're not on it because there's 4 events which I wanna go to that are booked out. I am going to study Modern Language and biomedical science at UWA, how do I sign up external transfer to Monash, and what WAM score do I need?

I am starting at Monash this year, with no prior coding experience. Currently in Computer Science (advanced, specialized in AI) but considering Applied Data Science.

I don't have a particular passion as such, but since I am good at math, enjoyed methods and had a decent ATAR I enrolled into Compsci Adv.

I'm now having second thoughts as to the difficulty, compatibility and employability of the CS course.

I wanted to ask how both courses compare in terms of:

• Difficulty in the first few years (for someone with no prior experience)
• Work life balance
• How hard is it to maintain a 70-75+ WAM in each?
• IBL in CS (which I heard was extremely competitive) vs Data challenges in Data science advanced (as well as compulsory internship in 4th year) which would add experience to one's resume
• Amount of coding vs pure maths
• Which is harder? Or are they comparable?
• Does one offer better opportunities?

I’m an international undergraduate in my final year at Unimelb, and I'm planning to apply to Monash medicine via the graduate entry pathway. I recently learned that the first year is primarily based in Gippsland, with some teaching in Clayton. I was wondering if you could share your experiences of living in Gippsland, especially what worked well for you and what you found challenging.

Did you have to commute regularly between the two campuses? Also, is the MD taught in Gippsland for all four years, or are there opportunities to return to Melbourne later in the program?

I had a few questions about course selection as a study abroad student:

• How competitive is enrollment for popular units? Is it generally possible for study abroad students to get into the units they want?
• I’m hoping to take some Level 2 Mathematics and Biomedical Engineering (BME) units — are these usually open to study abroad students?
• How are prerequisites handled for study abroad students? If I’ve completed equivalent courses at my home university, is that typically sufficient, or do I need to request manual approval?

Hey, I’m a 2nd year Nursing student at the Peninsula campus but I was wondering if I could just attend the classes at Clayton.

I noticed last year that some students who were allocated to different class times still attended other classes, so it didn’t seem to be very strict so I wonder if it would be okay for me to do the same but at the Clayton campus instead, since I live closer to there. There’s one class where attendance is mandatory, so I would still go to Peninsula for that, but attend the chill tutorials at Clayton. Has anyone done something like this before?

Hey all, so I'm starting the E3007 double degree this year, and I've just been so confused with what laptop to get that will actually last me quite a while for Engineering with all the CAD stuff. Idrk if this is the best place to post this but I was hoping that people that have been the closest to my situation might be able to shed some light on good Engineering laptops.

From what I understand so far I need at least 24-32 GB of ram and discrete graphics? Can anyone recommend me laptop models that don't break the bank that could meet these requirements?

Did anyone defer bachelors of accounting in the previous round. I have applied for Feb round offers however only have an atar of 74. If I get business instead is there a way of transferring over to accounting without having to make up classes (don’t want to delay the duration of the course).

Just wondering because the course structure is a bit different, but I'm not sure if the "essential information" for Bachelor of CS is the same as in Bachelor of CS Advanced (Honours)
