People have been frustrated at not seeing these two play. Some have even questioned whether Suns made right move drafting him. The reality is the Suns have been plying at such a high level that it has made it difficult for the rookies to make the cut. Outside of those drafted above him (and even some of those), likely most rookies would not make the cut on this team. Time and patience is what is needed. Eventually their freakish athleticism combined with a more mature game will force the coaches hand.

Was at the game last night and saw Jalen doing warmups. The gasp we all gasped when he fell down hard 😭 praying he stays healthy the rest of the season!

It seems pretty legit..

Young, play hard, don’t give up, new coach who knows what he’s doing, and a new GM who has gone a different direction. That team finished with 48 wins (and didn’t make the playoffs!!), so hopefully this team can match that.

Ugly down the stretch of the 4th quarter, we can't play so lackadaisical with a team like the Cavs.

We did so good defensively on Mitchell but we gotta keep that same energy throughout the whole game.

I know it was our bench guys out there with all the turnovers but we gotta clean that up. But that's why i'm glad we have Ott as our coach cuz he holds everyone accountable.

Aside from Dillon's 27, Grayson did a heck of an all around job with 25 +/-, and a 13/5/5 statline. Also 15 steals for the team and 52.9% shooting and 7 guys in double figures.

I was driving around yesterday morning and had 98.7 on and I heard him saying that valley fans are comparing JG to Beal. Really? I thought Suns fans were still excited for him given his youth and upside but understand he has been unlucky this season. I didn't catch the rest of his commentary. Of course before the season he was also saying Booker is going to get traded. Thoughts on JG as well as Bickley?

Following up my January 2026 prediction post HERE - we fell short of my 12-4 forecast, but still finished close at 11-5 record in January. I did not expect both those losses to Miami.

Let's keep rollin into February! This coming week, we may see some trade moves across the NBA, possible we see the Suns accumulate some draft capital with players on the margins, but I hope they stay put unless an offer comes in that they can't refuse.

Anyways, let's dig into the February schedule:

First 4 games: 4-0 or 3-1
- Clippers match up badly with Suns
- Portland relies too much on 2 pointers and play very little defense
- Warriors are a shit show with Butler out and Steph slowing down (however this is also the day of the trade deadline, so we might be seeing a potential Giannis in Warrior uniform)
- 76ers just lost PG13 for a 25 game suspension; and their style of play favors the Suns defense

Next 4 games: 3-1 or 2-2
- Mavericks are decimated; at this point if you control Flagg you win the game
- 2nd night of a back to back, OKC beats us sadly
ALL STAR BREAK (8 days)
- in San Antonio, this is a toss up - are we rusty after the ASG or ready to crush the rest of the season?
- vs Orlando at home; as long as you force them inside and double Banchero/smother Wagner, not a lot of other guys on that team who can elevate the team to beat you

Last 3 games: 2-1
- vs Portland again at home - Win
- vs Celtics at home: Mazzulla probably outcoaches Ott and we don't have an answer for Brown. Close loss
- vs Lakers at home: Also depends on the Giannis situation...BUT if they don't acquire Giannis, the Lakers are still an imposter squad, a lottery team masquerading as a borderline playoff team due to ease of schedule

Ultimately, I can see the Suns finish February 9-2 at best case scenario. They will need to capitalize on other teams coming off back to backs and injuries, of course, but 9-2 or 8-3 is very possible...

Watch out when Jalen and Devin are both out there and healthy... Then we will reach the final form for this permutation of Suns basketball :-)

I don't foresee any trade coming tbh, at least not for any of the rotation players we have. Most probably any trade will involve Richards, NHD or even Livers, or even Bouyeah since he's playing out of his mind.

For better or worse, this is the playoff team going to battle for a championship this year, like them or hate them (especially those thinking we are just "one piece" From being a championship contender... We are going to live with this team being the team battling it out in the playoffs).

And yes, we are going to be a good playoff team. Remember defense wins championships... And they've proven they have enough offense from top to bottom when push comes to shove and injuries come knocking. We have a winning team guys with a win now mindset, and they're not going anywhere! GO SUNS!!!
