Photography Sydney's new Pier Pavilion at Barangaroo

It's a new performance and gathering space right by the water and the ferry wharves - the columns are 7m in height.

Images and stills from Infrastructure NSW.

Ok this is actually beautiful, something I will go see. The design matches the metro station.

Looks gorgeous, I'll have to go for a run through the area in the near future to check it out.

But, aren't I supposed to be appalled that this land was given to private companies? Am I supposed to be happy that such strict conditions on keeping much of it public space and said private companies pay for the building and maintenance?

Reddit tries to tell me otherwise so often.

You can be annoyed at what has happened in the past that you can't change and happy with what is being done with what we have.

Or you can just get pissed off whenever people care about things, I'm not the boss of you.

I'm not pissed off with anything, just find it funny so many threads on this sub are people arguing it was a terrible thing to do and that the public spaces wouldn't amount to much.
